1L de cat

Hey guys, I went to see a guy at power flow earlier about having a de cat pipe on my 1L arosa but he told me that it would cause big problems for my car as it relies on the back pressure from the exhaust, I wanted to know if anyone else with a 1L has fitted a de cat and what problems have you come across?

The reason I need a de cat is because of the height of my car it catches cats eyes and bumps in the road. Any help would be appreciated :)

Does the arosa have a back pressure sensor? Cos that'd be next to the cat so if the cat was removed the sensor would need to be relocated. That might be what he's referring to as being a problem. Also will getting a decat not be a bit of a pain in the hole come mot day??
