Haunted Electric Window or Buggered PCB?

Recommended Posts

Seriously weird electric window but hoping someone out there will know the answer?

My passenger side window wont go down with one push of the button, not from the drivers side or the passenger side, when you push it, it goes down about half an inch at a time, you have to keep pressing it to get it to go down all the way, too annoying for words!!!!

Also its working backwards, when you pull it it goes down and when you push it, it goes up?! When I bought the car a week ago the bloke that owned it said it was stuck and to prove it was stuck he kept pushing the button, and you could hear the motor running but he was right it was stuck. We got it home and pulled the door card out, took the motor out and it was seized, probably from where the bloke had pushed it several times!! Freed the motor by turning it manually now its working but still not correctly? The only thing I can think of is that the printed circuit board has burnt out? Has anyone else had similar problems or does anyone know what is going on?

I need my windows open, help me! lol!

Just an update on a serious note, borrowed a switch from a friend . . . epic fail - still not fixed it, really reluctant to get a whole new window mech but might do it cos the window is getting right on my melons ;)

cba to fix little things would rather be playing with, wheels, coilys etc!! lol
