nic78
I've been experiencing a whining noise from my Gti, and I don't think its the gearbox. It's most noticeable at slow speeds and when slowing down when pulling up at a junction. The reason I don't think its the gearbox is because I put the car in neutral when going down a hill, and as the car sped up, with the revs staying at 1000rpm, the whining noise got louder and a more higher pitched whine.Anybody have any suggestions? Thanks

sam bignell
Nick - not sure if you've solved this but I can confirm it is a wheel bearing, it started a week before I let the car go
