chrisash32 Posted January 25, 2011 Report Share Posted January 25, 2011 Hi Everyone,I have an issue where my new seats are not heating up very much at all....I have just bought some MK4 Recaros that all have brand new heated seat elements (Got receipt to prove it).My Lupo already had factory fit heated seats so i just disconnected the controllers from the bottom of the lupo seats and fitted these onto the MK4's.I can hear the relay kick in when i power the seats on, however they just don't seem to get very warm at all...Maybe just the equivalent of being on number 1 all the time..Anyone got any ideas?Many ThanksChris Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

chrisash32 Posted January 27, 2011 Author Report Share Posted January 27, 2011 lolok, just to update, I have tried the seats with a temporary wire up ok a MK4 loom and switches, just to verify the pads are ok.The pads works fine, the seats got lovely and toasty.. (Which my Lupo has) my worry is that i am going to have to strip out the OEM Loom and fit a MK4 Loom and switches. Tricky88 Posted January 28, 2011 Report Share Posted January 28, 2011 Didn't have an original loom as mine didn't have heated leather as standard, bought the kufatec one from Germany and sharan switches. Mike_M Posted October 12, 2011 Report Share Posted October 12, 2011 Compare the wires from the lupo switch to the Golf one, and swap the wires that do not match.......obviously use a multimeter to check the connections match............otherwise take to an auto electrician to sort if not happy.
