H3NRY
Cheers Mike. I might just get a set from work tomorrow. If the rue of thumb is to have at least as much thread as the diameter of the bolt i should be good.By 'set' do you mean 12 or 16?These wheels have been a lot of effort haha. Mike_M
How did it go. Thought you were going to leave the momos off for now.
H3NRY
Well, temptation is getting the better of me and i want to get them on. just been slacking a bit because of uni and work and that. Plus i didn't have any locking wheel bolts so didn't want to put them on permanently without. The aim is to get them on today though. H3NRY
Got the wheels on, definitely handles differently! Cars embarrassingly dirty due to wet motorways, but hopefully it'll get a wash very soon and i can take some pics.
Mike_M
In a good way i hope.
H3NRY
Uhh, don't know if its just me, but it seems to understeer a lot and follows grooves in the road more. Im getting the tracking checked out soon, but i thinking it might just take some getting used to. Edited December 11, 2011 by H3NRY
Mike_M
Wider wheels also tend to follow the road camber more compared to narrower ones
H3NRY
The new clutch is in and definitely feels different. Need to get used to it but i generally don't like light clutches.
H3NRY
Right, so the clutch has been in less than a week and has developed a rattle. Back to the dealers.

Mike_M
Really! It can't be that bad.
H3NRY
Its not even bad! Just seem to be falling out of love with it mainly due to it not being low enough to look good. Its just justifying spending money on this car that could go towards a nicer car, to then spend money on. H3NRY
Washed the car for the first time in ages yesterday, waxed it. Turns out my ****ty pressure washer took a nice bit of lacquer off one of the wheels....wonderful. Hard to understand as my pressure washer is as powerful as childs piss.Sorry Mike! Looks like that refurb might be sooner than i thought.
H3NRY
MOT passed. One advisory saying that the off side rear break is weak compared to the near side.

H3NRY
Dohhh!I always hand wash my wheels LOL.Must have been near the wheel edge or bolt holes........as these are the most vulnable areasIt wasn't surprisingly. it was in a corner where one of the spokes meets the outer part of the wheel.keep her lower it and get some lower profile tyres.JOMs getting ordered at the end of the month with top mounts for easy installation while I'm off foe easter. Tyres are 195/45/15 so the usual size (or one of) but might size down for some stretch once they wear out. Don't want it to look too 'stancy' though cause i'm not going low enough for 15" stance, and don't really want to have to do arch work.
