craigg!!
I thought id post a few pics up of my arosa 1.4 16v sport. i picked it up on saturday from redditch and i must say im impressed so far, well worth the long train journey down. everything seems ok apart from the drivers and rear washer jets dont work so im just guessing there blocked nothing majour, and the clutch pedals fairly stiff, just wondering if this is normal or a common fault or anything with the arosa? iv got a few little plans to come soon i hope money depending, any feedback would be apreciated. thanks craig Edited July 5, 2011 by craigg!! craigg!!
I had the car for a week yesterday, my new machine polisher had turned up midweek and it wasnt a bad day so ithought id tackle the Arosa. i only got a few pics before and alot after non during the 6hour process unfortunatly. I started off with a quick snow foam to remove all the loose dirt on top on the surface, then gave it a good hand wash using meguires gold class shampoo. After it was washed i gave it a good clay, i used the autoglym clay kit but made a lube up from cold water and the meguires shampoo, that worked a treat. the claying took a long time but to be honest was no where as near as bad as i was expecting for a car thats 8year old! once it was clayed the car was snowfoamed again to remove any old clay residue. It was then dryed and left to stand for a while. the wheels were also claned using bilberry. Next was the fun part, using the new polisher, The polisher of choise is the DAS-6 pro used with a 5" pad and menzerna intensive polish as the paintwork wasnt in the best of conditions. It took about 2hours to finish the car off with the polisher and it looks a million times better. to top it off i used a collinite wax and blacked the tyres with meguires tyre black.Any advice or criticism is welcome haha heres some pics before it was done:And after the hard work:

Barnsley-Arosa
No way you'v managed to machine polish your whole car in 2 hours you'd be lucky to get 3 or 4 panels done in 2 hour

craigg!!
Havent updated this in a while so il do it now. i finished wrapping the interior a while back now and think it looks good compared to the peeling rubber. nothing has changed since then, the cars going in the garage monday to sort out a few problems. will be dropping the engine out, replacing the head gasket, water pump and timing belt, clutch and clutch cable. While its out il be giving the whole lot a good clean down. Once its all sorted and running good again im going to start to look for some new wheels with a bit of a dish. il post a few pics of the interior now.let me know what you think.thanks, craig. craigg!!
Carbon looks cool, was it easy to wrap? it wasnt too bad. i used a hairdryer to heat it up then it was real easy to move around, took a few attempts to get it with no creases. its real good stuff to work with.
