treblet
Have a look in the how to section. There's a guide on how to fit coilovers which covers the removal of the original shocks and springs.
H3NRY
what about the actual removal of the springs though? i guess it's pretty self-explanatory but for people who have no clue some more info could be useful.
treblet
Get the entire strut off of the car.Put the spring compressors on the spring and tighten them up until you have tension off of the shock absorber. Remove the top nut on the strut and take the spring off.Take the tension off of the spring and refit the new springs in the reverse order, you may not need spring compressors to refit the new springs as they'll be shorter. For any drop more than around 30mm you should be considering upgrading the shock absorbers too, otherwise you'll blow the oil seals on the original shock absorber.
