Rudaz
sometimes when i come back to my car the break lights seem to still be on?? surely since my key is not in the ignition then this should not happen no??EPC light came on for a short while the other day, eventhough the car was running fine. this has now gone out, but reading through some topics it seems i may need to get a new break light sensor. could the two be related?? and anyone know the price and part number of this part???so far ive got back to my car in time so my battery has not died! dont want to be caught out at modified nationals this weekend... cheers D. The idea is that you use this if you're parked on a main road for a few minutes at night etc Edited May 24, 2010 by darkhorse1210
MrNice
It's most likely the switch behind the brake pedal thats gone. Same happened to my Polo.
s2000king
Definatly the brake light switch, it will make the EPC light come on as well. I know the switch is around £20-30 so not too expensive and easy to change as well, not sure on the part number though i'm afraid.Hope this helps. Mike_M
It twists and locks and on first press of the pedal will automatically adjust itself for reach Its been a while but think mine was a four pin version
