drinking oil

my sport used to drink it too. nothing wrong with it though. Everything ran sweet so it could just be a trait of a highly strung engine??

valve stem oil seals could be on there way out get them looked at or replaced or it could be goodbye engine and im speaking from experience of loosing my sport engine from the exact same thing and it aint pretty!

I went to VW and they said it Sports do use a lot of oil. I usd to have to top mine up every 4/5 months with about half a litre. They said it was normal?

how many miles you do a week though. cos i do bout 100 a week cos of my job.

if your constantly having to top up the oil then youve got problems sports do use more oil than most cars but then theres excessive useage which aint good news cost wise id say your looking at £300-£400 better that than the £2500 that i had to pay for a new engine :blink:
