Bought a 4-2-1 manifold for the new engine last week

IMG_0662.jpg

IMG_0664.jpg

It came with the small pipe welded on which goes to the airbox

IMG_0665.jpg

As it's not needed and it looks neater without it, it was chopped off ^_^

IMG_0666.jpg

I also bought some black heatwrap for it, but I ran out before I'd managed to wrap the whole manifold so I don't have any pictures :(

started stripping the engine today,

gearbox, clutch and flywheel came off first

IMG_0685.jpg

IMG_0689.jpg

after that was the inlet manifold, throttle body, injectors and most of the wiring

IMG_0688.jpg

next plan is to get the bolts to get it in an engine stand, and start making progress to getting these fitted

Whats happened with the Polo gti lump etc? Sold on? or will it Return in the blue one?

ATM it's just sat in the garage, i'm undecided with what to do with it. I'd like to put it in the blue one but don't know how bothered i can be with the wiring
