RallyeBaz
I've noticed recently that sometimes the gauge will go to zero when I am driving the car. There is no change in performance and when it comes back to life, the needle never goes over half way.Any ideas ?? tshirt2k
Check for any loose/ brittle wires around the engine. Got to be a bad connection on the temp sender. 8)
Snoopy
Yup, temp sensor error. Get it over to VW if you're still in warranty. You might not notice a loss in performance, but when the temp guage goes to zero, the car will be running in 'cold' mode, and hence overfuelling. Run it like that for long enough, and say goodbye to your catalytic convertor.
