Daz_Kez
You either bought Castrol GTX or Castrol Magnatec? They are different oils......and to be pedantic: Magnatec 10w is Part Synthetic. The one question I have with Magnatec is: If it is magnetic, how do you get it to drain from the engine? Jeez Craig, I thought you were further on than this. Did you smear oil around the rubber facing seal on the oil filter? Makes it lot easier to remove next time.We were discussing this in Mechanics, and we came to the solution, that it is called magnatec for this reason:It lubes up the engine better as oil is supposed to flow more freely and cling the the bearings, etc alot more that "regular" oil providing better "lubrication" of the engine parts, if you get me? cardaft
Sounds like you have got more MPG than you thought then. 58MPG from a 1.0 is good going!
