S3-1UPO Posted October 11, 2007 Report Share Posted October 11, 2007 i thought i would measure the wheels on my car atm to c how the new ones wil fit. the new wheels are 15x8's but a few people said they mite rub on a sport shell.well ive jus measured the wheels on there now and front measures 9inches and back 10inches. but i must be doin sumfin wrong coz both front and back wheels have 195/45/15 tyres with the rears stretched.does any 1 now how to measure wheels properly or is it just as i have done and gone from one side to the other mite sound stupid no but bit confused??all help appreciated cheers reece Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

S3-1UPO Posted October 12, 2007 Author Report Share Posted October 12, 2007 yeh thats how i done it inside the rim from outside lip to outside lip. surely 195's on a 9inch wheel would have a massive stretch and 10 would be stpid but the fronts aint got a stretch at all??????????? Philplop Posted October 12, 2007 Report Share Posted October 12, 2007 Take the wheel off and look on the inside bit where the bolt holes are.It'll tell you the diameter, width and offset.How did you measure the wheels with the tyres on? heartagram Posted October 15, 2007 Report Share Posted October 15, 2007 Sounds like there 7's and 8's.195/45 on a 7 is generally flush, maybe a tiny bit of stretch.
