Reasons for power steering to go heavy

If say the pump was to go, would the car then be un-driveable or would it still steer?

The PAS went on my old 106, you could still drive it no problem, was just really heavy. I fixed that by hitting it with a hammer a couple of times, however I wouldnt suggest attempting that with the Lupo! :lol:

I completely forgot about this thread!

I was very new to the world of motoring back then and had neglected the fact that I had changed my tyres to a different brand. They were also a couple of PSI down as well.

Sounds stupid I know.
