Pottster
VW, LUPO GTI MOT: expires 11th Oct 2022 Engine size: 1598 CC – 5 speed Mileage: 120,500 Fuel type: Unleaded Location: Durham, UK 2001 GTI in Black, £5295 Almost unmodified example. Slight mods are Eibach Prokit Lowering Springs and Team Heko wind deflectors. Otherwise it’s totally original spec with factory fitted electric sunroof, VW CD/tape player. Fully stamped service history and comes with original booklets/VW wallet that is stuffed with old MOTS and receipts etc, 2 original keys. Interior (grey with red stitching) – no rips/damage to upholstery, trims, carpets, mats, dash, etc all super tidy. I’ve had it since 2011 (102K on the clock), used as a weekend/summer car, it gets garaged in winter. Has had the following done in my ownership that I feel are worth mentioning: 2011 New Door Check Straps 2012 New Radiator 2012 New Bootlock Surround (cosmetic) 2012 New indicator and wiper stalks, new hinge on driver’s door 2012 New Front Grille and Badges. New interior grab and door lock handles (cosmetic) 2012 New VW black floor mats 2015 New Front & Rear Pads and new nearside rear calliper 2016 New Suspension Bottom Arms 2019 Cambelt and water pump replaced 2020 New Varta Blue Battery 2021 New offside rear calliper, new rear pads 2021 Fuel Injector replaced (3 further refurbished injectors included in sale , should any more go), also had plugs and leads replaced, can't recall exactly when Original Bathurst alloys were refurbished a few years ago, still look very smart but do have a couple of minor scuffs 4 new Toyo Proxes tyres two years back Bad Points A few age related surface blemishes, tiny dimple on the rear bumper and a couple of small chips on the windscreen – but as you will see on close inspection and from the pictures it is in great condition for its age. The high rear brake light in the spoiler does not work – it was like this when I bought it and is a common issue, I have a brand new OEM replacement unit with fitting instructions but not got round to fitting it and will include this in the sale. Starter motor makes the common quirky squawk noise, it was doing this when I bought it and hasn’t affected it starting at all. Everything else works as it should. It’s been well looked after by me and the previous owners so you will be getting a cracking little car, runs nice and smooth, looks great for its age and it’s been a pleasure to drive and tinker with over the years. I’m treating myself to a camper so need to free up some funds. I think that’s about it. Anyone wanting to test drive will need proof of insurance otherwise I’ll be doing the driving.
