RichNor
Hello. The coolant light on lupo randomly starts flashing after i turn the engine on, sometimes a off/on cycle stops it, some times it doesn't. The coolant level is fine and the temps are good. Is it then likely to be the sensor in the expansion reservoir? Any checkups I can do before i go off buying a new tank?Richard
Pete
Yeah the sensor is most likely to be at fault, dunno if you can even get that separately actually but if not the header tanks aren't expensive.
Skezza
I had this issue on my old Lupo, what tends to happen is the float sensor gets really gunked then won't move until the car is warm. You could flush the coolant system naturally, but you want my opinion? Take a small piece of wire and arc the two contacts and plug it back in. It's a ****ing idiot light at the end of the day and if you're capable of checking your coolant then you really don't need it. That said, I wouldn't do it if your temperature gauge is playing up.Just my opinion though. Save your money.
