  1. hey guys, noticed that i really need to replace my front bushes as they look knackered and one is fully split and all i can hear going over bumps is knock knock knock!! wondered if it is an easy job and something that with a little help i can do at home rather that paying money i dont have to take it to a garage! there are 2 sets on the front, right?? both directly behind the wheel, one at the bottom facing vertically upwards (this is the worst!!) and one above pointing horisontally?? also thinking of poly bushes.. anyone had 1st hand experiance of these? they worth the money? any help appreciated D
  2. i too want to remove these parts for painting, but i already have a bad rattle coming from the blowers pointing to the windscreen! wondering if the clips may alreday be broken... needs checking out i think!!
  3. cheers yea i think i did see you, saying that quite a few people must have thought the same because i had a few waves!!
  4. Ok so owned my loop for a year now and am still loving it as much as the day i took it home, been to a few shows and done a few bits and bats to the car so thought i would FINALLY make a section in the members cars!! ok so when i bought her she looked like this.. since then i have added a dvd player and some audi TT knee rests and made it my own with my private reg.. a few touches up of the paint work, removed the rear wiper arm, and i also added a passat rear badge colour coded to match and had my front bumper smoothed out. after a service and brakes change i decided to treat her to a new set of rims so i ordered some lenso bsx and had them wrapped in nankangs (not too much stretch, but not big bouncy tyres! ) just a few weeks ago i decided they needed a lick of paint so this happened with the matching grille badge of course!! i have done other things but off the top of my head cant remember so just thought i would put the pics of things i had done on and i can update it as and when bar the bumper being done all the work done has been of my own doing and as its a hobby i really enjoy doing this! would love any feedback good or bad and keep posted! im hoping to have a bash at the interior soon soo we shall see and a most recent one from VW Fest 2010

  13. sometimes when i come back to my car the break lights seem to still be on?? surely since my key is not in the ignition then this should not happen no?? EPC light came on for a short while the other day, eventhough the car was running fine. this has now gone out, but reading through some topics it seems i may need to get a new break light sensor. could the two be related?? and anyone know the price and part number of this part??? so far ive got back to my car in time so my battery has not died! dont want to be caught out at modified nationals this weekend... cheers D.
  14. they are about £22 from the dealers i think. roughly what i paid for mine
  15. sooo easy, from vw i think they are about £15 per side, and each one has 2 or 3 bolts you have to undo! just have a good look at them and they are self explanitory (prob spelt wrong) to fit, i did both of mine with the smallest ammount of mechanical knowledge in about 20 minutes tops. hope this helps. D

  21. to be fair you might find that you dont have to raise the suspension up that much for it to stop scraping... just do it a bit at a time and take it around the block and jack it a bit more, i had to take mine up very slightly to stop the rubbing, and i cant even really notice the height difference now
