  1. Standard wheels are 15 but 16's i think would look better
  2. That exhaust sounds mean! but not too chavvy!
  3. No. Aslong as you've got decent socket set its a piece of pee
  4. why dont you strip the paint and polish them up yourself? will look a lot less tacky than the lenso centres with the pointless alen bolts in them
  5. do you have any rubbing issues on the rear with those tyres? Dan
  6. A CV gaitor costs next to nothing, about 5 quid and is a really easy job. if you've got the time and tools do it yourself! CV boots are such an annoying thing to fail the MOT on! Oh and vaseline can degrade some rubbers so would be careful with smothering them in it.
  7. yeah i've got the item now
  8. I phoned them up again and in their small print they are covered for this kind of thing... kind of defeats the object of having a courier at all really the number of things they are not liable for is ridiculous, I think it might just be that VW ones are obsolete i'd imagine autoglass etc can get hold of a replacement but failing that i will just swap it from my tailgate. The item was packed up really well so it must have taken a fair whack to break the glass.
  9. really!? wow! so even autoglass wouldn't be able to supply? ive rang up paisley freight who subcontracted the sipment to citylink and they arent liable for damage to glass items... ah well!
  10. im going to take delivery of it take pictures etc and then take it from there, i have been contemplating adding the cost for respray onto the claim aswell as i assume the glass will have damaged the paint (then i can get it in the colour of my car too) but i can't see this solution being sorted overnight so will be pushing my luck for a respray!
  11. yeah package said exactly what it was, im going to get in contact with claims department tomorrow but just wanted to know what sort of price i'd be looking at for glass replacement as i would get a quote and then try and get them to foot the bill somehow
  12. Hi, so i bought a smoothed tailgate from someone on edition and set up delivery for next day...2 days later and theres still no delivery. I have just got off the phone to city link and they have informed me that the glass has smashed which is why they are holding it!! i am so annoyed! what i want to know is how much is new glass for a tailgate going to cost me, or should i say going to cost city link? cheers Dan

    BBS RM

Hi, I'm rebuilding a set of BBS RM. I just want to know whether ill be able to run 7.5j on the rear? i think it ends up et25 im going to have a fairly low ride height, but it will be a daily so don't want any rubbing issues, and don't fancy getting my arches rolled Cheers Dan
  15. yeh so you click it once to pop it, then click it again once its popped or it just keeps popping!

    Fuel saver?

"one pair is fine but we do advise to fit as many as 2 pairs per car if possible, especially diesels, you can fit as many as you like but we say 6 pairs/sets is certainly enough per car"
  17. yeh i got it, just didnt seem right for some reason, because the pads came with an extra plate on them. cheers anyways
  18. id say top mounts if the coilovers have been on the car for a while the top mounts will probably be taking a bashing as well as bushes
  19. de-wiper and then wire the popper up to the rear wiper, stealthy. had it on my mk2.
  20. hi, im in the middle of doing a brake service on my lupo gti and i was just wondering how the pads are secured? as the pads i bought have no clips on them and there was only one clip inside the brake piston when i removed the old ones. A quick reply would be very helpful, thanks Macus
