no smoke coming from the back. every 8k km i fill about 400ml of oil. havent checked the pipes..will do soon. oil is VW SUPER PLUS 5W-40

the only mods i have are a remap by TCM and janspeed exaust system.the rest is all stock.

so my lupo gti has 154k km in dash. from 130k i noticed that if I threw the rev over 5k there is a smell of burning oil coming inside the car.from what i saw on other threads, it could be the stem seals. any other ideas??

yea i know..at the time i buyed the gti i didn't know the correct tyre size for the lupo, a mate said that those are the correct size.

so, it's time to change the tyres and i need to buy some new winter shoes for my gti.i currently have 14 " wheels, and as far as i know, vw recommends 185/55 tyres. the problem is that this size is not so popular here in romania.do you know what size i need so that it won't affect performance? because i made the mistake 1 year ago by buying 205/50/r15 tyres and the acceleration dropped from 8.5,8-6 to 10.3,10,5 sec thanks

guys, i sincerelly thank you for your reply's.. for the moment i'm in a vacation with another car.. mini-man-dan @ the remap is for a standard lupo gti.. RobG @ i have 14" winter wheels already, just they are winter tyres.. so, the car is a 6 speed gearbox with 140k km on clock, the clutch is new and has 17k km. the service has been done last week (oil, air filter, oil filter). i've done a remap this winter from tcm turbo and they siad the gain is about 10 hp and 15nm. couldn't get 0-100 km/h from standstill less than 9.9 sec. and i've tried several times with and whithout esp. the road wasn't slippy or anything else. and i've got my ass kicked by a a3 1.9tdi 170bhp ). i'm running on 15" dunlop sp sport 01 205/50/r15. could the flywheel be the problem or anything else? thanks.

hi all. on the lupo gti, does the esp button turns to yellow when its deactivated? mine stays only red, regarding if it is deactivated or not. if it is, what could be the problem? thanks.

hi all. i came today over a strange problem. i first knew that my windows would not roll up via remote lock, just by manual locking. today i was playing with the remote lock (lock/unlock) and after a 8 sequences i locked the car and saw that the windows rolled up, but not till top. after unlocking i saw that the windows rolled down, but again, not fully. just like in this video : . i have an oem remote lock. anyone knows why the windows on't roll up fully? i had a prolem too when i bought my gti (6-speed) the first gear was totaled,so i decided to recondition it.at the service i found that the second gear would die soon, so i payed for both gears. 2 weeks ago, the sixth gear would crack to.at high revs, i would not enter.took it back to service and the guy told me that the fixed train, (not sure if this is in english) was damaged at the right side where the screw was mounted. i do have that thing in my car.i'l took a photo tomorow and show it. also the train that came , was thick that the other and had a 10th screw, not a 8th one.srry for my bad english ). so it seems to be a problem see you the gearbox at the most gti's till 03(the guy told me that).cheers Alex

he's right. i live in romania and the weather here is pretty hot during summer.plus that i don't have air con, so i thought that i would be more easy for me if the windows would go down automatically when i start the engine

hi all.i am thing on changing my stock exhaust with a janpeed exhaust.but i have 2 questions 1.the consumtion will rise if i change it? 2. will it sound too hard in car?i mean will it get buzzy during long distances for those who seat in back?? thanks!

hi all. i recently see a pic on google with a pic of an lupo with lsd doors.it looked very nice and i thought on buying a kit. i found on google only universal kits.so my question is...are there any specific kits designed for lupo gti?because i say on the manual that the chassis had some modifications in order to support the lsd system. thanks!
