  1. Make: VW Model: Lupo GTi MOT: May 2017 Engine size: 1600cc Fuel type: Petrol Description including modifications:Bought as a stop gap car for a few months, ended up liking it and keeping it for much longer! However time has come to sell as I’ve not got the room to park 2 cars and I’m doing minimal miles now. 2002 Lupo GTi 1.6 125bhp 6 speed 137k miles – MOT due May 2017 Was bought with no service history but is in good mechanical condition but could do with some cosmetic touch ups. Listed below what I have done since buying it. Major service - coolant flush/replace and power steering fluid change Rear wash/wipe piping replaced as leaking Both front track rod ends replaced Front drop links replaced Front 6 bushes replaced with poly bushes Good Bits Brake discs and pads have most of their life left Clutch feels strong and bites at correct point Tyres have 5mm+ all round 6x CD changer + ipod lead Electric working sunroof (gold dust on these apparently) Carbon air intake and pipework (came with car) 35-45mpg Mechanically sound and nippy for something with 125bhp! Bad Bits Could do with some cosmetic touch ups paint wise and alloy paint is flaking. Test drives will need proof of correct insurance cover or i can take you for a run. Location: Linlithgow, Scotland Images: Price: 2500 ono
  2. Im lucky to see 210 on the GTI, mostly town work and a few short motorway stuff. Tank is way too small but then if i wanted range id have kept the Volvo T5 estate beast!!
  3. After 6 months ive just got mine mostly sorted, wondow stopped working and i needed a new regulator as the plstic bits had snapped and let go of the window! doh. same issues with the passenger up/dopwn as above people so im gonig to follow the guide in the "how to" section to clean the swtiches before buying new ones. Suprised no one has said about using the forum search button yet..........
  4. I think it involves taking some of the dsh off! ive been wanting to do this myself as it needs tightening up as it rattles but after some searchnig on here i discovered a removal of atleast some of the dash was required and thus not worth the hassle! Hopefully someone can prove me wrong though
  5. Mine changed by £112 after moving a whole 15miles!! its a joke! Anyway got my 51 GTI its £370 with privilege, 23(at the time) 5yrs NCB, 9points(on the bike:( ) and callnig this week to add mods :| Hoping its not going to be massive! Best bet is to shop around everywhere, its worth it, plus adding a girl makes a massive difference when your young!
  6. Kool i got a set of eibach ones and its now all set up! magic!
  7. Guys and gals, Im looknig at camber bolts to fine tune the suspension, ive had a look using the search button a few months ago and found the part number for the Whiteline ones, but when i looked yesterday and today i can no longer find it :S not annoying at all! In short does anyone know the part number for the Whiteline ones or know a link for them? ive been on google non stop but coming up short Any help would be grand!

  9. Think mines on its way out, whining like a trodden on cat! any idea how much it would be to fix? Also need a new window regulator as mine giving up the fight for life, costs for this? Only asking so i dont have a heart attack when i phone the garage expensive wee things lupos!
  10. I like very mucho! Id love a Ducati but my buget only stretched to a new Ninja600, it will do for now but i want a burble to go with my usual jap high pitched scream at 16K revs
  11. Hey guys, not sure how many of you there are left but does anyone still run on the standard wheels and springs? if so any chance anyone could measure the arch to centre of alloy for front and back for me? i would like to compare them plus the company wants to know the difference as it thins they have sent the right ones, Phase, i realise they need to settle, however unless they are gonig to settle about 40mm higher than they are the now ive got a prob! currently on full lock stationary the tyre misses the arch by a few mm and the front end is rock solid on the move. I like the idea of weighting the back down! lol
  12. Thanks for the advice guys, ill bet its something simple(i hope!) and can be sorted soon, MOT next month! Toi-gulp- yeh it looked simple enough and both front and back springs/shocks were even sperated in the box!
  13. dont think so, took them off the old ones and put them back in. Gonig to get my bushes fitted on wednesday as i cant do them myself and ill see if the guy has any ideas as im totally stumped! ive got a nose down ar5e up look going on!
  14. Hi there, just fitted my janspeed lowering springs and shocks, main problem ive got is that they aere only meant to be 35mm yet my arches practically sitting on my front tyres yet my backs are only just lower? am i gonig mad? or have i missed something? fitted them myself with help from a mate, i think the front right is actually slightly lower then the other side too Im confused, tired and very mucky! any ideas? Also how does the lupo pick up so much dirt?!!
  15. Had a quick search but couldnt find anything, recently my car makes a clunk comnig from the gearbox area when i turn the car off and now a loud clicking.clunking noise when pulling away in 1st gear, doesnt always happen and car still drives ok. Just worried something major is about to go booom!

  18. Toasty today!! Did 4 runs and best was 15.855 not to shabby considering the gash tyres! got beat everytime by my mate in his 328i, no suprise there then! Need that remap!
  19. was toasty as!! saw 4 lupo gtis there so might have been one of you lot! did 4 runs and best was 15.855 not to shabby considering the gash tyres!
  20. yes but if you go through your and their insurance YOUR claims go up also as your statisically more likely to be involved in another accident. If the boy is will ing to pay let him, saves hassle and time, ifhe does a runner youve got his detaisl and reg plate so you can report him, duh
  21. Northwick - Yeh i was supprised as you as i had taken it out then 2 weeks later the called to ask if i wanted this extra insurance, seems mad but i didnt argue!! I plan on having no crashes although Edinburgh drivers are trying their level best to get me!
  22. my excess on my bike was 1200 but my insurance company (H&R) for a one of payment of £45 i got excess insurance which lowered it to £700! ive got mine high cause a) id jsut passed my test and b only 22 at the time on a slpit new ZX6R! plus if i crash it its either gonig to be a couple of hundred to fix so no claim or massive and a write off! lets not go there though... :S
  23. sorry to hijak here slightly but how do you guys get over speed bumps, pothole and driveways? mine not lowered yet purely because ive nearly ripped the bumper off on speedbums and general uneveness of roads! Fancy a set though! getting the ARB and poly bushes in july so might look into this aswell at same time! still not had a remap yet! lets not talk about that!
  24. im the same, bloody annoying, plus i cant use my passenger window from the drivers side, only the passenger side. not much of a prob during winter but summer is here allegelly. time to get the door cards off methinks!
  25. i have once a week 50mile round trip on motorways that ease's up my mile per tank! fair enough about the 70-80ph diff, ill cope as im not too bothered, much better mpg than my last car by over 10mpg! Long live the volvo T5!
