Right, front brakes look, and feel like crap. So wanting some factory spec ones. but not dealer price... I'm willing tp pay up to about £100 ish for the 2. Just wanting to know where you lot get them from. don't want second hand jobbies.... thanks

My wipers havent working since I got the car. They only work when I squirt the windows. I have them working on 2nd and 3rd speed. the 1st click down don't work. and they dont seat at the bottom. It's had a new wiper motor, and stalk. is it worth gettin a new stalk (think it was second hand). Lad at work, says he thinks its the relay, (he's a fully qualified machanic) Just wanting a second opinion.....

is it possible to change a vag clutch with out takin the box off the car? I know you can do it with some Vauxhalls

Well I was thinking there the same. Also Seat leon, arosas are probably the same. as long as the gearbox code is ETD as mine is HOPEFULLY should fit in. But dads going for one tmora so with a bit of luck ill be poppin into work on saturday to get it fixed!! YEY!!

whats the easiest way to get it out? front end off or drop it out? I have accses to engine lifts and supports working a garage. but will probably be a weekend job with the old boy in my garage

My car siting as low as poss. on 15" wheels and theres about an inch about the wheel. Take out the adjusters and its lower........ Fronts have LOADS of adjustment apparently. Fit them and see whats the worst that could happen??

OKAY. so my box was been ****ed since the day my brother got it. It finally went. Trying to source a new box.Can't seem to find one anywhere. Will a Polo one fit in if there one on Ebay? (aslong as its a 1.4 16v.) If i cant find one. is there any good places that will refurb it? there one round the corner from where I work but I don't want him touching it. Just need it sorted ASAP!!

Anyone on here?? Pressed plates, x reg, on TA Technic Coilies (YES, i was on the floor looking, but wasn't slammed! PFT) , OZ wheels. Also had a Northen Dub Foundation sticker in the rear window. and a monkey thing! Looked clean inside.

Rear beam off a sport gti or diesle I think they all have rear dics. also bigger brake would be nice, so master cylinder? So it the mounting for a 1.4 and a 1.6 the same?? I might source an engine for mine! SORRY thread stealege

I have never had a problem, well once. I hit a curb at abut 25mph due to a white van man, then about a week later the tyre popped off. part from curbin I don't see whats wrong with them. as long as its not too silly. But regular tyre checks don't take long to od and can save lives. PSI check too. People over look little things like that. People are quick to jump on the assumsion that its the stretch thats to fault. could be a faulty tyre, or something else...

Going to be lowering the loop pritty soon. One of my mates at work asked me if I had camber bolts. I havent. BUT do I need them? Camskill (up the road) have them in stock 12* and 15*. will they be needed?? if so which ones Cheers
