Sad to say i havnt got much done on the loop at all I managed to get the dash out Which wasn't as hard as i thort and also managed to upload bigger pictures finally aha!! Not sure if im gunna put the dash back in yet but got plenty time to worry about that aha Ive been spending what little time i have getting my old mk2 golf back on the road Once ive sorted that i can move my lupo to somewhere to get the engine out as i have a crappy gravel drive :|

ahahaa Ace! Im pretty sure he smashed his sump off a drain cover before he had the hydraulics fitted funny to see peoples faces tho when your bouncing around in a copper grease coloured punto lol

My minds pretty set on the VRS fabia engine I think it seems best Aparently alot of the ancillaries are 'slimline' so give abit more room? Plus I've seen and read of alot of well over 200bhp vrs's so will be easy to source parts and info to get it romping I just started a new job Monday so I got to work a week in hand :/ But as soon as that money's in my bank I will go get me an engine and start getting this baby in If you guys have Anymore info tho keep it coming Or if I'm going for the wrong engine lemme know aha Really apriciste the replys

Awesome i cant imagine what these things go like with 20vt's in Its gunna be evil! Im thinking maybe a 5 speed mk4 golf or leon box? Im just going to get it in and running sweet standard first Then it will be time to squeeze some horses outta it Then yeh i recon get it up too 200bhp+ and it should romp

Cheers for the help guys this is very useful! So definatly go for the pd130? Which engine is gunna be best Ive been told the skoda engine (im guessing the fabia vrs) fits the best?? And ive also read that running a 5 speed box would be best?? Soon as i get enough info im gunna get this started

Okay so here's the crack, i have a 1.4tdi The turbo blew on it the other day and im worried that its damaged the internals Ideally i want to rip it out and replace it with a 1.9 Tdi but there is just no information anywhere.. Ive seen the thread from "PD150" which has some pretty helpfull info Just wondering if anyone has any bit of info/ideas or suggestions that would help me out?? Mainly what parts to use and what im putting myself in for lol..?

I havnt "abused" it or not know how to look after a turbo its just one of them things Straight forward to change the turbo but im thinking isit worth it to find out the internals are frigged! Thats what i like to hear aha Ive been looking into it, just really struggling to find out any information That lad "PD150" has abit of information on here so i may just give it ago.. im going to post up a thread and if i can get enough info about it im gunna go for it Only thing that scares me is the price :|

Rightttt! Here comes the bad news... My car gave up on me in the week :( I was driving it up a road when i heard a strange bang from the engine It then decided to stick to 2K rpm and just wudnt go no more Then a few seconds later it just revved its tits off on its own accord and an insane amount of white smoke came bellowing out the exhaust. So i quickly shut it off and managed to crawl it to the side of the road. Got the bonnet up and had a quick nose around but cudnt find anything but its seems the same symptomys of a blown turbo I managed to get the AA to tow me home so i could investigate... I stripped off the front so i could get to the intercooler I then removed the pipe off the intercooler from the turbo, about 0.5-1 litre of oil came poring out :| And then when i removed the pipe completly off the turbo and this came out... I found chunks of metal caught that obviously cudnt filter threw the intercooler And this was the state of the oil after the intercooler, looked like real small shards of metal :| I then continued to take off all the inlet to see if i could find anything. Cudnt find any bits of metal it was all just horribley clogged up with grime :| throttle body inlet maifold I then dropped the downpipe and got the exhaust manifold off so i could get the turbo out This is what i discoverd :| I was pretty certain that it was the turbo that had gone But im pretty sure this proves it aha Only problem now is if it has sucked in any of the metal and damaged the internals :|

Yeh they were the best fitting wheels on had on it tbf I should have bought them off my mate but hes sold them now :| im seriously sucking at these picture sizes, im being idol and not looking how to make them bigger sorrrrrrrrrrry

Cheeers buddy apriciate it Good idea bud! I was thinking about something like that tbf Was going to get it flocked but its pretty thick and things dont seem to fit properly once they have been done lol

I finally got round to replacing the grey haggard old gear gaitor with a lovely fresh bit of black italiaaano leather Just need to try find the cover under the handbrake and the cigarette lighter "hatch" in black and get my mate to fix up and get the front seats from his garage and the interiors finally all the same colour lol

Once again its taken me over a month to update my thread Here's a few things ive been up to.. Speakers fully **** the bed... Manage to get my hands on these for an utter bargain so i wired them all in.. I then got a subtle boot buil off a mate of mine from his lupo Gti... I then removed the 8" jbl and replaced it with a 10" Hifonics Brutus. I also made a larger box which is alot more solid and sealed with no port. And it also matches the paintwork aha I left a gap either side so i can fix the 2 amps either side on the underneath. Just need to tidy up the amp wireing and find a better place for the Xovers then cover it in acoustic fabric and it will be finished.

Cheers for the positives lads Im not a fan of it on the steelies I have a few sets of wheels and have been trying a few out Just trying to decide what wheels to end up running on it Its either take the easy root and find some alright wheels for it orrrr... Go balls deep and do something pretty outrageous aha im not going to say too much but expect some sort of archwork (if everything goes as planned that is) As for the clutch I have had it in around 2 months now The bite is quite harsh but not too harsh so that its a pain to drive around town or in traffic jams Also changed the fluid and the pedal is incredible light and smooth its awesome I would definatly recommend one for a tdi that has been re-maped. its a must for the money as i found the standard one cudnt cope with the remap especially with 4 people in the car. The guy said it should handle 200bhp + and more than enuff torque Which is the main reason i uprated it as i eventually hope to see what's possible to get out of the little 3 popper. But i have the bodywork to finish first before i can think about doing that
