  1. Dude, i'll check the stock list come Monday when i'm back in work and see if I can source you one from our own stock, and if there's any joy, you can get your deposit back from the dealer (Corkills??) style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> Dev (VW Sales Exec style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shades:" border="0" alt="shades.gif" /> )
  2. in simple terms, and im sure its been said before in this post........... When you buy a new car, you are not necessarily buying a 'new' car. eg. two identical cars bought on the 1st August 2004 on a '54 plate aren't necessarily the same age: one may have a June 2004 build, and will more than likely be the car model that is selling pretty well, as the factory is turning over stock pretty fast. Conversely, the other car may have been a slow selling model, and may have been in storage for 'x' amount of months, even years! so the car's ecu thinks its old even though it hasnt even been registered yet (e.g. I sold a Mercedes ML500 to a customer for August 2004 registration & delivery last year that was over a year and a half old) And its also a myth that at PDi this is all reset: You'll be surprised how little is actually done at PDi, mainly because very little is needed to be done! Hope this explains it all to yer, and listen to Tigz: reset the light, and get your car serviced on mileage or time, whichever occurs first. It also may be worth checking your oil level aswell, as it has been known that when oil levels are low, the knock sensors on the engine pick it up and this can trigger the service light to come on early, but I am not sure this necessarily applys to our little Lupos!! Aaarrrrgh!

just been outside, and this one is definitely bolted in, or is restricted in some way, shape or form style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" /> i dont know if it has been worked on in the past, but its only a year an a bit old, so i dont know whether it may have been in for any warranty work on it in the past and they have bolted a new unit in from the back, cos this aint goin anywhere style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />

    Aaarrrrgh!

just tried that, tried to get the head unit out, seemed like it was bolted at the back? tried to get the CD player out, and the cable was attached and it didnt pull out far enough for me to take it off! Any ideas?
  5. Just picked up my loop from my mates house this mornin, and went to turn the VW Gamma head unit on, and nothing happened. Its got a single cd underneath it, and for some weird reason, this is still lighting up? Only problem now is that although the car is off and the key is out of the ignition, this light on the CD player is staying on. And, because the head unit above seems knackered, its playing nothing. It even stays on with no CD in it. Just got the car home, and locked it up for the night. I got this feeling that after I come back from London after this weekend coming, i aint going anywhere in it cos the battery will be flat, and i havent got any soddin release keys to get the damn thing out :x Ive even tried going via the fuse box, and pulled out both fuses for both units, and this mysterious light is staying on :?: I am loathed to disconnect the battery, even tho i might have to in a bit, but does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do? or can I improvise with anything else to use as release keys lol

  9. I can never make it to the stealers becauase of work, and im in desperate need of some `top-up` oil for my TDi. If i am buying aftermarket oil, what grade am I looking for, or do I have to use the VW stuff? style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" /> Thanks D.
  10. dude, well done, u should love it, and you probably got a better buy than a TDi anyway, cos they are well overpriced ( i got one and im waitin for it to pay me back lol style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> ) and silver loops are cool 8)
  11. not noticed that one either dude, that might have been me in my black TDi goin towards this girls house on the Chester High Road.... then again it might have not been lol! style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />
