Just came a cross the thread again, I'm liking the look of this sport even more now, keep the updates coming
-
What centre caps are they? - If theyre ronal, you could maybe apple some carbon fibre paper onto them until you got new ones or something
-
90% sure they're ronal R15's if anyone will stand me corrected or not, but they will look mint once polished to a mirror shine, but here if theyre's not a scratch on them (as they look alright) try polishing up a small area and see if they come up a shine at all - as if they're new and not painted/sprayed then you'll obv not have to refurb. edit** - had a close look there. If thats the current condition theyre in - dont bother refurbing the lip, just need to polish her up. and sand down the rim tops (which dont look to be too bad by looking - just make sure to get rid of the black bits as I mentioned. Also forgot to add - important that when sanding the rim-tops, make sure you sand them down evenly and flat. i.e dont sand at an angle on the rim - just flat. This is so that the rims are not mis-shaped which can lead to tyre issues and the rest

Cheers for the comments guys

What I spent last Sunday doing:
-
Since having the car from last year, I have not posted about or updated so here she goes: Updates in 2009: - Lowered (TA.Technix) coilovers - BBS RA / refurbed. Upcoming: - Replacement / or custome rear bumper - Coils-spacers - Rim straightened - Wheel allignment - debadged fr. grille Future: - GTi Spoiler - Rim colour coding - Leather/sport seats - Leather interior - Stretched tyres - (tired of the current 'balloons) - Induction kit - Performance mods ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- So far: updates: Managed to get the time today to carbon-fibre the wheel centre-caps. Turned out half-decent although it was a quick job: Dosen't look half-bad but would prefer proper dear ones, which aren't worth the risk of being stroked. suggestions and thoughts welcome(Y)

Lupo shock removal problem
And1Lupo replied to And1Lupo's topic in Car Care, Maintenance and Mechanical
Cheers matey, sorted(y) -
Putting the coilovers on and the back went on fine, but having problems on the front. I have the shock and spring out but can't get the donut shaped top mount off to reuse on the coilovers no matter how much force I use. Im turnng the allen key and spanner in the opposite directions but it just doesn't want to budge. Anyone have any tips, tricks? Obviously can't get to a garage until Tuesday when they re-open

In theory my work in Lidl is meant 2 be the most fast-paced store in retail, with loads to be doing, but I occasionally find my self on short -breaks, usually playing wit the cctv catching thieves etc
