  4. Hi, I've just had a bad boy bonnet put onto my loop ... it's a bit of a "marmite" mod... some will love it and some will hate it... here's a piccy of mine:

    BMC CDA

I am thinking about getting a CDA for my loop... please excuse the daft question.... does anyone have a piccy that shows exactly where it's fitted... I have a rough idea but it would be good to know for definate.... thanky muchly
  6. it does... but mine hasn't got the extra grill extension like yours - did you have the work done... oh, and I like those side skirts
  7. I spent and hour and a half on the phone last week trying to sort my rusty gutters out... I called VW UK who gave me my local stealership number... they gave me their bodyshop number, who told me to call another stealership, who couldn't help, and they finally gave me the number of the main stealership in Cambridge... not holding out much hope, I called them and the lady there was really helpful - she said nothing about full vw service history, just that they'd to a "dis report" and take photographs and then let me know in a couple of weeks.... I'm going tomorrow morning, so here's hoping they'll be able to sort it out as both sides of my roof are bubbling
  8. It was only about 48 hours after the paint was finished that I put the wax on.... but the paint was still quite soft and I had to be really careful not to catch it with anything.... wish I could have waited a bit longer but I didn't want the sticky buds off the cherry blossom that is around here to fall on the paint and mark it - probably wouldn't have done, but I didn't want to risk it :/
  9. I have a 12" fusion sub/amp tube in my boot - I had to release the back seats then put in the sub and push them back into place to be able to get it to fit it's such a tight fit I don't need to use the holding straps lol
  10. Thanks, and it's kinda hard to put a price on it as a friend of ours did it for 'mates rates'
  11. Today I spent 2 hours washing and waxing the loop and making it shiiiiiiiine... After the picture was taken I went home and washed my husband's golf cos I'd splashed it and I felt guilty.... soooo that's a 2 hour wash and wax for mine, and a 5 minute wonder for his lol
  12. Here you go... 902mm wide 444mm high 356mm going back to 247mm deep (it's a bit sloped) but it's different for a gti
  13. Wheels are the next "mini project" - they need refurbishing as the lacquer is coming off in some places shouldn't take too long tho Thanks for your comments everyone
  14. We have been able to make a start on some mods that I wanted for the Lupo... so far we have de-stripped it, changed the wheels to 15" ronal turbo's and a few days ago I dropped it off at the local hot-rod shop for some bodywork to be done. It has had the lower front valance and the back bumper colour-coded (and had the numberplate surround at the back repaired) and it now has a bad-boy bonnet and straight grill, I was going to get the guy to repair my roof gutter rust in a month or so, but I have just read the post about them being done for free at main dealers, so I shall give mine a call in the morning Here are a couple of quick snaps for you 'picture-whores' out there but excuse the quality as they are taken on my mobile at dusk lol - more to follow at the weekend, after we've given it a very good wash and polish up because as you will see it's still dusty from the workshop, so just as long as the weather is nice for us then I'll post some more up over the weekend
  15. Here we go; As Little Green Giant says, low profiles will be much cheaper than going out and getting 14's... there's practically new tyres on my turbo's and I don't want to waste them... but as soon as they need replacing then I'm going for low profile and stretched
  16. Funnily enough, I've just gone from 14's (1.4 sport alloys) with 185/55/14 tyres to Turbos lol. My loop is lowered 40mm and just about cleared the stupidly huge speed bumps around here. There was quite a gap in the arches as they're not filled as well as with the Turbos. Will post a pic or two later if you like.
  17. Hi all, Not posted for a while, but I'm planning on being around a bit more in the future as I am getting into modding my little loop some more this year... so hopefully I can tag along to a few shows with you lovely peeps To start with, my other half has just bought me some lush polished Ronal Turbos the question is - and I apologise in advance if this has been asked before, but I did a quick search and couldn't see anything do I need any different bolts or spacers or anything like that to fit them, or would they just go straight on? I currently roll on the 1.4 sport alloys - but I am thinking of keeping them on during this yukky weather tho Thanks
  18. hahahaha at the advert My Lupo is called Lily
  19. Welcome Good luck finding the loop you want
