  1. Do you still have the rear lights for sale?
  2. I am planning on fitting new brake pads and discs front on back on an mk2 arosa sport. I was wondering if I need any special tools for compressing the piston (does it need turning while compressing?), also when doing the rears what happens with the handbrake, does it need to be off or just disconnected?
  3. Thanks for your help, will have a look see if i can see anything obvious wrong with the key inside. Good find on ebay, cheapest i had found was £14, might even upgrade to a flip key.
  4. Yep both the buttons inside work, everything locks up properly when i use the key in the lock too. Could re-syncing the key to the car help? I dont understand because it unlocks fine :S
  5. The remote locking on my Arosa has stopped working when i press the button to lock it, it works everytime when unlocking. Could it just be the button in the key has broken? Also does anyone have a picture of the lower connection under the bumper for the headlight?
  6. So if it is a cable one can i adjust it? Could i have done something to make the pedal rest lower? I remember seeing a black thing sticking up under the throttle body, which i gave a wipe cus that was filthy too, could that have done something?
  7. I'll try that, car seems to run ok though i get full revs, thanks for the advice.
  8. Connector sounds right, I had to unplug one from the throttle body.
  9. I have no idea its 2001 arosa sport, what am i looking for to find out?
  10. Its rest position seems to be lower, it seems to be much lower then the brake and clutch pedal.
  11. I've just taken off my throttle body to clean it, put it all back together and it works fine, just i have a strange feeling my gas pedal seems lower than before. Could this have happened or is it just my imagination? Its a mk2 Arosa sport by the way.

Ring a few local scrappys see if they have any lupos or arosas in, theres sometimes people on ebay breaking cars for parts too.
  13. New leads and plugs? This guide http://forums.clublupo.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=43238 shows you how to remove the airbox to get the tb.

You can order parts direct from SEAT or VW if the part number are the same as the lupo. GSF also have none oem parts that are usually cheaper, but they dont have everything. I'll be interested to see if this solves your heavy clutch as a new cable must be much cheaper then a new clutch. Might even have a go at fitting it myself, was pretty easy on my old fiat cinquecento Mine is a sport and has black interior apart from the roof lining, visors and grab handles. There is often a few people selling interior parts on here if you want to swap for the black, or just look on ebay or a scrappy for it. I beleve the lower parts of the lupo and arosa are interchaneable.

My clutch is like that was thinking of taking it to a garage and see what they suggest but i've just got used to it now. The pedal box has been done on mine i hope its not its way out again. The door check straps are very easy to replace and cheap to buy, I just did this myself last week cost me £16.70 for the part. Theres a guide on the how to section.
  18. Hi, i have a arosa sport and i sometimes get a loud bang from the suspension when going over a big bump, its done this at the front and the rear. The car is standard apart from fitting these wheels i got from emz forum link Anyone got any ideas what this could be, shocks dead, hitting bumpstops? *edit* just a thought, could i need to put some spacers on with them as the offset is et43?
  19. ^^ thats what i meant to do, not the immobiliser coding, hope you get it working.
  20. Have you tried recoding the key to the car, think it says how to in the how to make a flip key post.
  21. Does the light on the key work when you press the buttons? If not you need a new battery, i just replaced the one in my Arosa key and that was a CR2032 one.
  22. Just double checking are the lupo and arosa mk2 check straps the same part number? Basically i have a VW dealer 2 mins away so will just get them from there if they are. Also anyone know a way to get some sort of lub to the dash fan as mine makes a terrible noise on 2 and 3 speed.
  23. Yeah i had a look through that, just got lost in all the arguing i mean advising. I have major speed bumps and pot holes all round where i live so can’t go mega low and i don’t want a bouncy hard ride. From the jist i got from that thread cheap coilovers wouldn’t be a good idea then. I wasn’t sure whether lupo kits would fit due to them being listed different from the arosa ones and sometimes only lupo kits being available but not arosa ones from the same manufacturer, if you get what i mean.
  24. http://www.larkspeed.com/index.pl?a=i&p=261711107037S Has anyone any experience with this? Would a mk2 Arosa sport need uprated dampers with a 40mm drop or should i save some pennies and just get springs?
  25. How do the standard side repeaters come out of a lupo gti? Mine are full of condensation, but i dont want to damage them or the paint work getting them out.
