    remap

Mapped a 1 litre lupo a while back and managed to gain 6hp No other mods either...

    remap

agreed unless there are some serious restrictions made by the original mapping or flaws. For example, You'll spend a lot of money £350-£400 ish mapping a Mk4 Golf R32 for what on the dyno will probably only show 5bhp, However on the road when mapped (if done right) feel much nicer to drive and slightly stronger.

    remap

Modern ECU's are self learning, and are connected to a variety of sensors. At the end of the day, your map is quite simply telling it what to do with fueling and ignition according to what these sensors are reading (obviously there's more than just that but those are the two key aspects) ; plus you virtually never get a stage 2 map for a naturally aspirated car. I suppose you can't sue someone for telling the truth so I'm all OK

    remap

LOL I was going to mention this, but didn't want that bell end Jamés Brádley Sîlverstone suing me for Slander... I personally think they should be called Generic Code.

    remap

How very wrong you are... A Stage 1 remap is designed around a standard car with no modifications. The ECU's self learning ability can re-adapt to minor modifications such as a sporty panel filter or a cat-back exhaust. A Stage 2 remap is designed around a car which has had significant intake modifications such as a Cold air Intake system or Induction kit, and has had a full exhaust system including a Downpipe and De-cat or High flow sports cat if it's a turbo car, or either way Manifolds and cat, or just a high flow cat on a Naturally aspirated car Some companies do Stage 2+ remaps, this is very similar to a Stage 2 map, but requires the addition of either Injectors or an uprated high pressure fuel pump, or any other component which is reaching it's limits and limiting the ultimate potential of the Stage 2 remap. A Stage 3 remap is generally something which you only tend to see on turbocharged cars and normally requires upgrading of everything above, plus a specific larger turbo charger, pipework and intercooler upgrades and much much more. Many people consider a custom remap to be the best thing in the world. Again, they are wrong. Lets take a Mk5 GTI for example; A decent remap from Revo will have spent anything between 60 and 300 hours on the dyno doing back to back testing and will have been done over two or three cars. People paying £250.00 for a custom remap that takes no more than a couple of hours are being ripped off. Unless you are paying for hundreds and hundreds of hours of mapping on the dyno, You'll probably never see as good, smooth, strong and reliable results as what you would get with an Off the shelf, generic remap from Revo / APR / GIAC etc. At the end of the day, Your car came out of the factory with exactly the same generic map on it as what all other cars of that Make / Model / Engine Size / BHP came with, so custom mapping it only realistically required for extreme performance vehicles, for example where something is being done that has never been done before, Like strapping a turbo and supercharger and huge injectors/fuel pump on a 1.0 8v Arosa with high lift cam, 3" De-cat exhaust and a fully built bottom end and performance top end. This scenario is incredibly unlikely.
  6. Saying that, I don't think I'd go for a FWD car again after this one. Driven a fair few RWD's recently and the difference is amazing.
  7. Good to see you are still around Hakeem!
  8. I plan to get it and BlackOps2 second hand when the prices fall I've got a fair few more games than I realised I had now by doing that lol. Recently completed all three of the Uncharted games! They were really really good, however Uncharted 3 was a little annoying at times. Used car dealership!
  9. but an Xbox will break... and you can't and never will be able to play blu-ray on it. Every time an xbox sells, god kills an aids/cancer sufferer...
  10. Get a PS3 not an xbox... Especially if you had a Ps2
  11. Just because a car is falling in bits and is difficult to get spares for doesn't make it cooler In that logic my Mrs' Yaris would be cooler than my jetta...
  12. Know what you mean. My Mrs rented BlackOps 2 and completed it on the first day, then insisted on complaining the next day that she was tired... Wasn't me who made her stay up all night to get to the end of the story line. lol. The lupo's are cool but I seldom drive mine these days. Just collect them. I spend more time racing standard power premium cars and tweaking the handling to get better lap times. It's too easy to give a car too much power on GT5... Of course, If it were Forza, You could put like a W12 bi-turbo engine under the bonnet and it still look standard and drive perfectly fine lol... I've not played hitman but my Brother (who works for Game) has and reckons it's absolute ****e? What's your view on it?
  13. Usually after you've scared them off James
  14. Nah, That's cos I was there Glad you didn't walk in on us lol...
  15. Spending more time at home as the Mrs is annoying. Also, weather has been ****, so no going out on the bike!
  16. Oh and the sports are all official Colours! * Jazz Blue * Reflex Silver * Flash Red * Soft Blue * Black * Candy White * Fantasia Green * Yellow
  17. The Yellow, White and Turqoise ones aren't, However, I do have: * Tornado Red * Flash Red * Black * Reflex Silver * Anthracite * Raven Blue The only official colour I'm missing is the Moon Silver. Unfortunately you can't get that paint colour on GT5 The ADAC Cup Cars and Japan Lupo Cup cars are all official colours.
  18. I seem to have rather a lot of lupos on GT5
  19. Mk4 R32's are just too slow. Don't bother with EVO's unless you have a big fat wallet for when something goes wrong. They cost a fortune to repair. As for the E46 BMW's, They are a nightmare for bushes. The focus ST's are typical ford build quality and don't have much of a feel of quality. The Volvo C30 T5's are an interesting alternative, if a little 'old man' A really cool car which is great fun to drive is the Integra Type R DC5. A good one can be picked up for around 8 grand these days and most of them have been owned by careful enthusiasts which is always good!
  20. When I'm at your mom's house, She's stanced...
  21. I've heard your mom is OEM+
  22. Just a quick update to this thread... Apparently to be 'Stanced' you have to have Yellow headlights...
  23. the 'Club lupo' definition of stanced is: Stupidly low at the back (moreso than the front) and wheels with a stupid offset that don't fit the car... Sorry if this offends the owner but: This is NOT stanced... It's 'Abortioned' which is when someone tries to give their car good stance and gets it horrifically wrong.
