    lupo g40

DO IT !! stand out from this same old 20v replacement, it cant be that hard, talk to beavis on "pitstops" web site or give the guy a ring what he dont know about g40 or 60 engines aint worth knowing!!! i would love to see a g40 lupo, and dont forget mini chargers can be bought for £100 on the bay,and they have a few tuning companies including pitstop that sell everything needed to get these chargers running VERY good power on g40 lumps. or just stick with the original g40 charger with a healthy rebuild from one of the above will make great power. as for changing engine looms,I have done a few conversions myself and i find the looms are the easy bit just make sure you get everything from the donor car, both looms, fuse box, sometimes you need the clocks, gather yourself some more info of people that do conversions regular"there are lots out there"and nine out of ten are willing to help you. regards kevin
  2. try them , they are very helpfull regards kevin
  3. here you go mate www.sportcats.co.uk regards kevin
  4. have a look !! if its only that you only need to re join the wire ??. was the problem there before or only since?? if since it can only be a few things. if the wire is broken you can solder it back together, the wire does get brittle with the heat and can break very easily, good luck regards kevin
  5. lambda probe into exhaust ,maybe you broke a wire when re connecting??? kevin
  6. have a look here if you need a new one, about the cheapest i know of www.sportcats.co.uk regards kevin
  7. Not to sure if i have central locking, the car is a 1.0 lupo ,which i thought would not have central, but when you put the key in you can hear like a pump or something trying to work,as if opening the doors and boot. how can i tell if its got central locking and its not working ,as thats what it seems like. cheers kevin
  8. hope its the same mate ,i bet its been driving you mad?? regards kevin
  9. FOUND!!!! drivers side inner wing, there is a hole where the cold air feed goes,it fits into a hard foam like box built in to the wing, this was lose and vibrating on the inner wing and on the wheel arch lining, been driving me mad!!!!!!!. I think it should be stuck to the wheel arch or something not just floating about.any way sorted. when looking i found that the exhaust has started breaking on what looks like a flexi pipe before the cat. anyone else had this??think ill take it of and try to weld it. regards kevin
  10. Ive got one absoulte hoot to drive, mines pushing 210 bhp, suprises most people that a 20 year old car can go that quickly. kevin
  11. yeah i suppose it could be something like that its recently had a front pipe according to the records that came with car so you maybe right, but i must addmit i drove it earlier and it does sound down by the right hand side wheel.cheers kevin
  12. still not had a chance to take a look weather is bad,if me and someone else seem to have the same problem after a belt change could it be that the belt is to tight ??? heard of similar issues before come to think about it, thanks in advance kevin
  13. that sounds like the same thing,to be honest havent had time to have a good look at it yet,and £75 for a belt change sounds a bit iffy,i will try and get a price of vw for the full job thanks for the replys regards kevin
  14. could it be from the cam belt????????????? belt has recently been changed by the previous,at a cost of £75 including the belt, i was thinking it might be one of the tensioners,if these where not changed. car has done i think 86000 miles,or even clutch wear??????,as i have no bills for a new clutch!! what you think!!! regards kevin
  15. hard to tell where its comming from to be honest,it only seems to do it when your driving
