  4. Hi All, What should I look out for when purchasing a new car battery? Any recommendations? My current one does not handle the cold too well and dies after about a week of inactivity, the battery is about 2 years old. Thanks
  5. Do you have the black plastic bits behind the headlights that you clip off if you wanted to change a bulb? Thanks

  7. Hi Guys, This question is for those of you with HIDs (obviously for off road use only). I have installed a kit on my 1.4 (75bhp) Lupo, but am having trouble with regards to finding a suitalble earthing point for the drivers side ballast. Basically the drivers side light is not as bright or white (bought 5000k) as the passenger side, which is earthed directly to the battery. Can a bad earth effect the quality of light output? Or the ability the ballast has to power/ignite the bulb? So far I have tried both bulbs in both ballasts, and my findings are that the each ballast produces the same light output regardless of bulb. i.e. I have ruled out faulty bulbs. Before I send back the ballast I would like some advice around a better earthing point? (if this could be the cause of the poor output). I am yet to try the 'faulty' ballast wired up identically as the passenger side - but this is definately something I shall be doing when I return. Any tips guys? Thanks, Irfan
  8. Mate have you got the original hub caps? Looking to buy 1-2 Thanks
  9. I would ask if there has been any work on the car, paying attention to the common faults: Gearbox Pedal Box Electric Windows Temp Sensor Water Pump Thermostat and Housing Anything else?
  10. Just got the thermostat housing changed by Roy at Autobarn (Top guy), all looks good
  11. Hi Guys, I am after some lowering springs for my 1.4 Lupo. Ideally I am looking for the cheapest lowering option and 40mm is perfect for keeping the original struts. I often seem people going from springs to coilovers, so if you want to get rid of your old lowering springs then let me know Thanks, Irfan
  12. Thanks Rich - trying to track down a combo kit - any suggestions for a Lupo? (I remember seeing loads when I have a polo) Thanks
  13. Hi All, Looking to lower my Lupo on a very tight budget. I do not want major lows, just a tad, so found these -60mm springs on ebay: http://www.ebay.co.u...=item3f0d474daa Has anybody ever used them? Also after lowering on springs, what do I need to get adjusted on the car? Tracking? Camber? Thanks, Irfan (Using the search function at the same time )
  14. Went to Autobarn today for another quote, seems like only the thermostat housing needs replacing

  16. Hi All, I seem to spending far too much money on my car and was looking into getting some sort of warranty. Does anybody have one? Thanks
  17. I got told my water pump needs replacing more ££ spent on the Lupo
  18. Same thing happened to me yesterday mate. The road side service guy has removed the thermostat so that water is flowing round the cooling system full-time (rather than when it reaches 87-90 degrees) This has cured the overheating but it only a temporary fix. Does the whole housing need changing or just the thermostat? Thanks
  19. Have you got an off side (drivers) mirror? Thanks
