bit of a dissapointment having to make this post but seems to be the only way to provoke a reaction after phone calls text messages pms and emails have all been ignore. I recently bought a lupo gti engine and gearbox from Paz after I lost 6th gear in my own gearbox and so wanted to change it. I contacted Paz and spoke to him and was assure that all was well with both engine and gearbox. great I thought so hired a trailer and picked it up. quick look over while I was there and all looked fine. after all he seemed genuine over the phone and I had been assured it was ok. got it back to the mechanics workshop and left it to be fitted. no worries. that was until I got a call from the mechanic, all was not well. it turns out that after removing my lump he had started to inspect the "good" gearbox and found it was f##ked. after inspection it was found that the diff had let go stripped all of it's teeth which had good through the box chipping almost every gear, before neatly punching a whole through the bell housing dropping all the oil so it was almost dry inside, the diff housing had then rubbed hard on the casing. so in short the box that I was told was running fine was complete scrap. I appreciate buying an engine without hearing it running is a bad idea, but when you have no other choice and you have been told buy a frequent user on a large forum, you tend to have a little trust. so a big thanks to you Paz for stealing 500 pounds from me!
  2. got mine today, an already banged it on. looks fresh as ****. already had 2 people say it looks gay and the bloke in the petrol station asked what it was. it's a vw thing was the answer they all got!
  3. still not got mine going to have to give them a ring.
  4. haven't had anything, they took the money out early last week so was expecting to have it buy now. any chance 1 cup of a 50ff leather gimp bra would fit? atleast then I'd have 2. lol my have to try some websites
  5. ive got them on mine too. i also want to go lower, and dont run the adjusting rings. i think they are a good fast road set up.
  6. ive got black badges on mine. cheers melonman, i used to hate parking there too, not such a worry now! im going to start doing it up bit by bit, i want to lower it more but its not got adjustable spring seats on the rear. yeah spoke to emma before, ive only seen it a few times since, had a bit of bonnet work under way last time!
  7. just thought id say to both the black gti and the lime green lupo your cars are both mint and showing me up!
  8. just ordered mine, went for a bonnet one in the end, really good to deal with. look forward to getting it.
  9. do they do a gti specific full front bra? cheers
  10. i havent really got any good photos of mine. the primer was due to an accident earilier in the year, not my fault!, cars a cat d so bought it back for peanuts and just use it as a dialy/ track learning tool. it is a tad expenisve i think i did about £550 + ferry for 3 days
  11. went to the ring earlier in the year with the gti was fun, g60 brakes nearly held up, but a bit to much roll in the suspension for my liking!

well i havent been on here in a while. those of you at ed38 would have seen mme rocking my lupos new look which amounts to a primer front bumper and lots of dents. this is due to a omplete C*!T crashing into my car in may. he undertook me started swerving in the road and then smashed into my car pushing me into the central reservation, the bloke was a **** but the police arrested him and he is going to court. i tried to get it fixed through the insurance but the damage would cost too much so i have taken cash in lue and am fixing it myself. i have now got loads of bits done to it, even got rid of the shocking lenso wheels in favour of some compomotive TH3s and toyo t1-r rubber. im basically going to use it as a dialy and get as much track time in with it as i can. im off to the 'ring in the middle of september!
  13. good info so far guys. the cars done over 100k so i thing the buses should make a difference. im going to smash it round the track a few times in the summer so anything that helps is all good. its not got to be mega track orientated, ive got my mini for that, and thats where all my experteis and money is! the set up is spot on, for what ive got, ive fiddled with tyre pressures and am used to a bit off lift over oversteer, i drive pretty hard, but just want that extra edge. so far from what said i thnk i will go for the jabba sport rear ARB and the poly bushes.
  14. im thinking of spending a bit of money getting the handling spot on for my gti. at the moment its got koni coilovers on the front and uprated koni shocks and lowering springs at the rear. the handling is ok but id like to dial out the understeer. basically im thinking along the lines of uprated rear ARB and some strut braces and possibly change the coilovers all round, some poly mounts too. ride comfort is not a problem, just want better handling. ive done a search on this but there isnt really anything, if anyone has good experience of what works well and what doesnt please post up. cheers
  15. im from deep in the essex hood so i will translate "thats a sick ride, them rims are phat" = what a nice vehical, the wheels are equally pleaseing to the eye hope that helps, lol.

havent really done anything to the car, apart from beating off the chavs. i love the fact that fiest STs can be kept up with easily been to renagade dubs meet a couple of times, just found a picture of my car on their website looking mint as ever
  22. yes the ht lead snapped the end off the coil pack conection when i went to remove it.
  23. mines just about to turn 104k its generally ok, just had to change coil pack and leads, but i dont think they had ever been done. ive also got all the common faults that im working my way through fixing. just make sure it had the cam belt done at the correct time and has been well serviced.

all serviced now, didnt go quite as expected as the ht leads broke down after the plugs were changed causing a miss fire, then when i went to change them the ends were corroded into the coil pack, so it now has a new coil pack and leads, genuine of course. im going to take the starter off this weekend and grease it, i will get the part number when its off as the parts guy at VW said there is 9 different ones listed, not sure i belive that but never mind!
