  1. Going to try and smoke my headlamps this weekend. Know how to do that, but how do i remove them from the car in the first place, and then put them back in? Same goes for the rear lights, as hopefully putting my Arosa Rear Lights on. Scrolled around the How To section, presume it's so easy that there is no guide but just wanting to know if anyone can help, cheers. . .
  2. How do you smoke your indicators? is it in the same way as you smoke your headlamps?
  3. http://www.balconyshirts.co.uk/a-baby-stol...shirt-322-p.asp "a baby stole my dingo!" hahaha classic! http://www.balconyshirts.co.uk/unicorn-on-...shirt-251-p.asp i lol'd at this one too! ahh dear me, going to have to invest me thinks.
  4. I'm about to get some mk2 Arosa rear lights for my Lupo and just wondering if it is possible to change the colour of the Orange triangle Indicator. It is the one thing that lets the lights down in my opinion.
  5. They look cool as Swox. Definitely going to have a bash at this, nervous of them breaking whilst in the oven but I suppose if nobody elses did. . . What do they look like when lit up? The same, or slightly less bright or what? Been thinking I wanted to darken up my black Lupo for a while now, hence asking about the Black Arosa Rears and Smoking the Headlamps.
  6. I like it a lot. Think the older Arosa rear lights or standard Lupo lights might look cool, to stick with the red theme. Just a thought. Like the wheels a lot though.

    McDonald's

I used to like McDonalds... until i started working there part-time. for a student it's a good job, they're very flexible with their hours (even if the pay is shiza). But when you get free-food every shift and have tried everything oon the menu you soon get bored. And you're right it's not the healthiest food in the world, but you don't have to have burgers there if you don't want to. The deli's are very good and as are the snack wraps and they aren't full of crap.
  8. been thinking of smoking my headlamps DIY style for some time now. seen tigz's effort and some others but don't want to do them only to find out their illegal and have to coin out on some new ones. just wondering if anyone has had an MOT since doing it and what the results were? also, i have looked around and have seen a few things on the 'to do section' about how to put mk2 arosa lights on lupo, but no black and white, step-by-step guide. just wondering if there is anyone who has already done it who could break it down for me, or at least point me in the direction of where they got their instructions from. thanks in advance.
  9. im likeing the look of that. i like the rear lights, i thought about smoking mine but im going to go for some mk2 arosa rear lights instead, because you can't get much darker than black! but yeah i like it.

    New Year

Mines definitely to put on more weight. I'm 6 ft 2 and 12 stone, so I need to get myself to the gym and pump some iron! Aside from that, the usual ones like "stop smoking...drinking less" they wont happen. Also want to have the car in a much sexier state by this time next year (crash-free)
  11. whilst we're on this topic of headlamps. has anyone passed an MOT since making this modification? i fancy a go but obviously don't want to get bummed for it!
  12. how heavy was the fine? i have german number plates on mine at the moment...
  13. what is tim tom interior? oh and also, someone said the tdi's have the fog lights in the bumper? will that convert onto a 1.0l lupo? aaaaand, i've heard about this rewiring to get the arosa lights to fit a lupo, is it a 'DIY' job? or a 'don't trust yourself, bring it into a garage' job? is there a lot to do?
  14. the tdi sport is from 2002? is that late enough to have a GTI interior? the place is shut all this week, it opens up again on the 30th i think. the place breaking a 1.0l yellow lupo, a red 1.7sdi lupo, a yellow 1.9 sdi lupo, a black tdi sport lupo and a green 1.4 lupo. it's also breaking 2 arosa's, a white one from 2003 (not sure on any other details) and i'm not sure what the other arosa is. i'm going the day it opens to try and pick loads of stuff from them. I'm definitely getting the arosa lights and hopefully getting some stuff off the lupo's, i want some headlamps so i can have a go at tinting them and possibly a new front bumper because the one i got after my accident is a bit crap! will let you all know how it goes.
  15. what does a tdi lupo have that a 1.0l lupo doesn't have? theres a lupo tdi being broken for parts up the road and i'm thinking of bagging myself some stuff, but what is there to bag?

  17. Are there ever any local meets around the Doncaster, Sheffield or Nottingham areas? I live in a town called Retford which is inbetween Nottingham and Sheffield and near to Doncaster and just wondering if there are every gatherings.
  18. they're rarely very good games anymore. there are so many foreigners in the game now that the passion is lost and everyone is so focused on tactics and cancelling the other team out and not losing, that the games always end up drab affairs usually ending in a draw. the days of seaman, dixon, keown, adams, winterburn, neville, scholes, giggs, beckham, keane, butt etc etc are gone. it's all just a big game of chess now! my big day is in january, sheff utd vs sheff wed, Up the Blades!

    Rear Lights

seen my mates lupo and his lights arent the same as mine. lol, not sure whether it is his or mine that are standard?
  20. Bought the car 15th November (day I passed) for £1999, in Doncaster (about 15 miles away) It's done 50k miles and looks like this. It says it's SE and stuff but I'm not sure whats 'Special' about it to be honest. Anyway debadging it and making my grille (and badge) all black this week. Also going to probably smoke my headlights if I get time. So i'll put up some photos soon. CRASHED! DOH! Not a write off luckily. Not claiming either, going to try and get the parts myself and sort it. Need a bonnet, bumper, grille and valance (grille surround piece).

    A-levels

Don't mean to sound arrogant, but I've always been somebody whose had a lot of natural intelligence and not really had to work to get results. Anyway, I did alrite in my GCSE's without putting in as much effort as I should have done. If I had done it would been As and Astars across the board, instead it was As and Bs (lol and a U in Food Tech, which I took for a laugh!). My 'breeze through, don't bother with homeworks, revise at the last minute' attitude seemed fine on results day when I did better than most all my mates, who left for "real" work. Anyway after one year of doing AS levels I suddenly realised it's a completely different ball-game. You can't achieve anything at this stage without putting in 100% effort. I arsed the year off, going out with the boys, working too many part-time hours for money (for a car and driving lessons) and going down to London to visit my girlfriend at dance college. Wound up getting a C in English Lit, a C in General Studies, a D in History and a U in French! Now I'm back where I started, in year 12 all over again! Carrying on with English Lit as a year 13, but now studying English Language, History and Media as a year 12 student, so will be leaving for University a year later than my friends. I really regret arseing the year off now, being in classes with kids I don't really talk to and stuff. But I'm now determined to stay focused and achieve the best I can. The more education you have, the more doors that are open to you, don't limit your options in future life by dropping out now. However, if your heart and souls not in it, your not motivated and you can't really be arsed, then you might aswell drop out now. But if I were you, I'd get my head screwed on and knuckle down and at least give it until you get your AS results next summer until you decide.

    Grille

Cheers folks. Can't afford to splash out £100 on a grille right now when my car needs a complete new front end lol! but will certainly put that down on the "to do list." It does look smart.
