Have only recently aquired this golf but after having a lot of friends with lupo's and owning one as my first car many years ago, im really missing my old lupo, so fancying the gti model. brief run down of the golf: 70,000 miles coilovers hella smoked front lights bonnet bra ronal turbos with stretched tyres with plenty of tread (165/50/15) powerflow twin exit catback paint work is in good condition for the age, no rust anywhere! there is some minor marks and laquer peel here and there (it is 21 years old) i also have a spare dual light grill with matching hella spots which is obv included. i have no history with the car apart from a couple of mot's but i have applied for the service booklet using my reg (which i never knew you could do) but that should be arriving soon. car runs spot on, pulls well in every gear and is very economical, did a london run and ran about 450miles on £40 would prefer the lupo to have coilovers and less than 80k-ish miles but try me. my gearbox has just gone completely! got quoted by midland vw around the £600 mark but to be honest i dont mind because i'd rather pay out more cash and get it done by specialists rather than get it done on the cheap by some cowboy

right so, problem number one. i have a maaad rattle coming from the back of my car, think it maybe in the bootlid. its been doing it for a while now. it seems to be not as bad when i first start driving but gradually gets worse. ive dewipered the back, so i thought i check the rear wiper motor ect and everything in the bootlid but everything seem nice and tight and non rattely. which baffled me, any ideas? :S oh im lowered quite a lot so this may be rattling something because of the stifness? ohhh i dont know anyway second problem, everynow and the, for just a split second, my engin manegmant lights come on an the throttle loses all power. only does it everynow and again for a split second. any ideas people? cheers ste

right so i clicked my electric window down earlier, and as it got to the bottomm it seemed like somethin was holding it back. so i stopped it and clicked it to go back up, an nothing happened. so thats stopped and my switches for both windows dont work, and nor does my central locking. so now my windows staying down and i cant get it up whatever i try. any idea what could of happened? cheers ste

evening lads and lasses, just wondering if anyone would be up for a quiet friendly meet. basically me an a couple of my mates are tired of meeting and being constantly scared of idots hitting our cars or thrashing around and attracting police attention. we were think of a organising a monthly meet at the wheel pub in bridgnorth on the bridgenorth road (with owners permission). it will simply be a quiet meet where you can meet up, get a drink, have a chat and look at some nice cars without being worried about the typical "boy racer" idiots. any cars welcome so there'll be a lot of variety. there will be a website being set up in due course depending on the interest we get.
