  1. Don't know why everyone is particularly looking for G60 Carriers???!!! There are a few cars out there that run the same carriers and a passat TDi is one of them. (Don't know which year though, but check first) style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> Mark
  2. I have EBC green stuff pads in my TDi front and rear and also Green stuff in the rear and Red stuff in the front of my ST200 and can't fault them, but that said I will most defo have a go at the Pagid fast road pads next time like Gti T has mentioned. What is the EBC part number for the pads you need, as I think I have a set here at home?? style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> Mark
  3. No it doesn't bud, has drums as standard fitment. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="B)" border="0" alt="cool.gif" />
  4. I was fortunate enough to get a GTi rear beam off ebay with a 'Buy It Now' of £60, couldn't believe my luck (car was written off only 22,000 miles on clock). Only thing I had to buy in addition were two hand brake cables from VW which I thought were going to be about £20 each, but nearly fell through the floor when the salesman said £6 each and that included VAT......Result!!! border="0" class="linked-image" /> border="0" alt="IPB Image" /> Difficult to say whether they have made a difference or not because I did the 280mm G60 conversion on the front and fitted front and rear with grooved and drilled discs and EBC Green stuff pads, all at the same time. One thing is for sure, my car can certainly stop now. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" /> IMHO worthwhile getting a GTi rear end as it's got the antiroll bar fitted to it, and besides I changed the whole back end (and I'm not kiddin') in about 3 hours all on my lonesome Mark
  5. Just taken a couple a photos for you this morning. Basically I couldn't wait to do this job as the plastic covers really looked tacky and did my ed'in. border="0" class="linked-image" /> border="0" alt="IPB Image" /> border="0" class="linked-image" /> border="0" alt="IPB Image" /> Hope these give you some ideas....these are retrimmed in leather. Mark
  6. I've removed mine, retrimmed in leather and fitted other grilles. I don't have any photos but will take some in the morning and post them for you. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> Mark
  7. I'll second that one!! style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />
  8. Hmmm, seems to be a pattern emerging here. Must say, mine doesn't do it, but if it did I would be checking that all connections are good and that belt is tight enough, to start with anyhow. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":o" border="0" alt="ohmy.gif" /> Mark
  9. No worries Lee, glad you got it fixed mate. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> Mark
  10. Very nice, hope you don't suffer altitude sickness though, you're quite high up there. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> Seriously, glad you're happy with Thumper look forward to seeing all the forthcoming mods style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> Merry Christmas Mark
  11. Oh!! Sorry to hear that that didn't fix it Lee. Is it still coming from that connector and have you re-located that pipe clamp yet? style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" /> You are positive all pipes and connections are connected and have not been, kinked or disconnected. Have another look tomorrow mate. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />
  12. Sorry Andi, completely missed that one mate. Yeah it was 83BHP on the same day. When I asked Mike if his Dynostar was over reading, he said that it wasn't, so 83 seems an acurate reading I think. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
  13. Hhhmm Hhhmm style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> http://forums.clublupo.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=15023
  14. Just had a look in my toolbox to see if I had a spare set of seals for you, but can't see any sorry mate. Give them a quick call now, at least you'll know if they have em in stock or they can get them ordered ready for you tomorrow. They should be there till 5:30 ish I would have thought??!! style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
  15. Yeah, don't bother with a new filter if it's not long been changed. Go to the dealers and get two seals, they should be a service item so fingers crossed they will keep'em in stock. Have you also re-positioned that clip with a pair of pliers so that it is clamping the pipe at the top of the photo Lee?? style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
  16. Lee in your opinion, would you say that that is definately where the diesel is coming from (rising past those seals and coming up from that plastic connector??? If it is, and you haven't cracked or broken that plastic connector when shifting your airbox around you will more than likely need two new seals. I would imagine you can get them from a dealer seperately, but whenever I change my fuel filter, it always comes with two new seals. When was your car last serviced and when was the fuel filter last changed..... it may be the ideal opportunity to change it now. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> Mark
  17. Lee. With the engine stopped remove that mickey mouse clip and lift that plastic part that is attached to the two pipes out of the fuel filter. When you remove it you will see two 'O' ring seals on the bottom of it (one black and possibly one blue), see if they are ok, give them a wipe with a clean cloth and put it back into the filter and re-fit the mickey mouse clip. Hopefully the seals are ok, and they will reseat and seal ok. (It can be a bit tight removing it because of the tension on the rubber fuel pipes.) Let me know how you get on. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> While you are there re-position that fuel clip as already mentioned, it's doing cock all there!! Mark
  18. Bet it's summit trivial mate, don't worry, we'll get it sorted in a second. Don't you dare even consider taking it to the stealer. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />
  19. Did you actually disconnect any of the pipes Lee, or just moved things around still connected??? If so I bet you've disturbed the rubber 'O' rings and they have started leaking. Piccies will be good style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="huh.gif" /> Mark
  20. Lee where abouts on the filter is it coming from???? Have you still got the mickey mouse ears shaped clip holding the pipe assembly into the filter??? If that is still in place (I would think it is) then there are two rubber 'O' ring seals on the plastic part of the pipe that fits into the fuel filter. If you can let me know where exactly it is coming from and I will endeavour to help. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="huh.gif" /> Mark
  21. The auction on Ebay is for the driver's side (Right Hand) mirror only. (Rechts=Right, Links=Left) style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />
  22. Like I said, sorry Ross and KidDub but I didn't know anyone. I had a pint, stood around the bar and then sat at the table by the door for a little while, then got another drink. I was there for about 45 minutes, before I left to get back 'ome. I don't know if you recall seeing me in the bar area..??? Never mind I'll endeavour to be there next time so long as I'm not working. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
  23. It's a piece of cake, the worst part about it is that you have to take the bloody engine mount off, other than that it's easy peezy. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />
  24. Not entirely true...I went too!! Because I don't know anyone by sight I kept asking the bar staff if anyone from the club was present and they said no, but I knew someone was there cos I was parked a couple of cars down from a red GTi (L**UPO) but no other VWs or Seats to be seen anywhere. Sorry Ross I was the guy with the jeans and black Fila fleece on, the one lookin' lost and all alone Boo Hoo!! style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="confused.gif" />
  25. I just put a search in for it Wayne and it brought it up, and Lee is absolutely correct...no import duty to pay as part of the EU. Mark style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
