  1. Cheers buddy. What about drying? I have read that watermarks are a pain in the backside? Is it difficult to maintain and wash?
  2. Hello hello, going to have a look at a tidy looking Mk3 GT breadvan for the other half tomorrow. The only thing i'm concerned about is that the paint is finished in satin black. Im wondering how you care for it, im assuming just soap and water and no polishing. Also wondering how durable it is, isn't satin paint porous? It has been primered properly and is a decent airgun jobby as opposed to halfrauds cans. Any information / pearls of enlightening wisdom would be great, thanks Ashley
  3. Love that ^^^^^^ Cant stand Robbie to be honest. The only good artists involved / winning were Kasabian and Florence. Oh and as has already been said the Florence / Dizzee performance was awesome, even tho im not a fan of the Rascal. Ashley
  4. You know when a car is classed as cat d, cat c etc . . .? It's the VIC check that assesses the damage and determines the category it falls under
  5. It has been remapped yeah by revo, hence the revo stickers. Such a top little car, i cant bear to look at the photos i miss it that much.
  6. Thanks a bundle matey, your a star. Ashley P.S - Think i read about your Bora on edition in December, did you do a readers read thread? Wow wish i had your skills if it is yours, with the K04 turbo, s3 injectors etc etc . . .
  7. You're a star mate, cheers for that. So is there no way of telling whether its a worn clutch or just the cable needing adjustment without doing the job to find out?
  8. Oh and by the way i tried the search function but couldnt find much on clutch cables / high bite, mainly seemed to discuss very low bite / pedal box issues. Anyone? Ashley
  9. Righto I know how ruddy knowledgable all you Lupo owners are so you're my first port of call I'm buying my girlfriend a cheap runabout, a mk3 Polo Breadvan 1.0l, seems a tidy car. One of the problems with it however is that the clutch is biting really high!!! I'm just wondering what the chances are that this is just the clutch cable, as opposed to the clutch being on the way out? I mean there is no judder when the clutch is being used and the car has only done 80k (i know how long a clutch lasts depends on how it's driven). Any help please? Is there any way i can tell if its just the cable?? Thankyou in advance you lovely people Ashley
  10. This is my old girl, really miss her
  11. Online this game is the shizzle and i must say im not too bad . You can add me if you like, the name is (brace yourself for this) . . . xBlob hahahaha awful i know. I love sniping, it rocks. Barrett 50. Cal, with thermal scope P.S This is on the PS3
  12. I'm sorry but it is fraud as you are lying to alter the price of the policy. It is up to you what you want to do but i have heard stories that if you're a "named driver" and have an accident then the insurance have a good old dig just to check you haven't been lying. As has been said perhaps you should consider being honest and buying a car you can afford to insure and run without having to resort to lying? It's partly due to people lying to insurance companies that premiums are so damn high for people who are honest. Ashley P.S To correct you Mazda don't make a 1.4 petrol engine that puts out 75 BHP. The mazda 2 has a 78 BHP engine and the Mazda 3 has an 82 BHP engine. If the lad is insured on a Mazda 3 then that is insurance group 3, lower than a TDi Lupo / Arosa. Just a small point to add.
  13. hahahahahaha that is truly epic "Ooooh that's dirty"
  14. It's up to you if you want to do it this way but insurance companies will always try and weasel their way out of a payout if they smell a rat. If you are in fact the person driving the car the majority of the time but you imply that isn't the case then you are guilty of giving misleading information to alter the policy thereby making your cover completely useless if they can find any proof. Plus the fact that you have already posted on a public forum that you are going to deceive the insurance company isn't a great start . Up to you though
  15. Dont pay that much for them. I got a cracking set of 15" ronals freshly powdercoated in black with tyres that look the sex on my white lupo for £350!!! Second hand is the way to go
  16. Personally i would go for the 1.4 PD TDi engine and have it remapped to around 100BHP. Then you will get similar performance to the 16v Sport but with much lower running costs (the sports are thirsty). But then again im biased as i have a derv and "get" the whole derv thing. Plus mine is for sale Haha Hope this helps tho Ashley
  17. Sorry i added a foolish post. Went straight to your thread from the recently added topics bit on the main page and didnt realise it was a photoshopping request. Egg and my face are in alignment Ashley
  18. FullValet / Detailing session Full Retrim in black leather Smoothage all round Pressed Plates Some polished BBS RS's (same as cafcross), with some gloss black goodness thrown in there somewhere General tidy up of paintwork Uber coilovers Whats my bill at now...
  19. A Black GTi spotted leaving the Waitrose car park in Alcester on tuesday afternoon i think.
  20. http://forums.clublupo.co.uk/index.php?sho...hl=tdi+vs+sport That might also help a wee bit
  21. Your gonna get left behind by your fella unless you buy a gti or a pretty special sport. But i own a remapped TDi and it does me just fine. I have learnt to slow down as its much slower than my previous two cars, but she still goes when i fancy a blast. Plus you get 60+ mpg, £35 a year road tax, cheap insurance. So as an overall package i would say a tastefully modified TDi would be the way to go. But it all depends if you get the whole diesel "thing", some people cant stand the old oil burners . My advice would be to drive a remapped TDi and and a 16v sport and see which suits you best, we are all different . Hope this helps Ashley
  22. Electric windows are a bit temperamental, don't get stuck but dont go down with just one touch of the switch. Exhaust mounting foobarred (fixed) Central Locking only works from the driver's door. Apart from that absolutely nothing, makes a nice change from owning an old mini and a polo gt, both of which ate money
  23. Yeah im getting one because i have black wheels, roof and wing mirrors
