got some cams from an AFK engine, but not having removed them and not wanting to strip my engine down just yet how do i idetify which is which there idetical apart from these markings W2 36AF W3 36AG cheers jr

Building up my track project, but slightly bored now waiting for the AST to be redesigned and its been 4 months of holding the build up now, anyone aware of anyone else at all that may be able to offer the similar type of adjustment from topmounts without having to modifty the turret itself cheers

Building up my new rear beam, and havent got the car to hand to compare it to, but the rear powerflex bushes can be put in only one way, just wondering if the "step" should be towards the outside of the car or the inside cheers jr

Got the option to source an AVY polo bottom end to use with my AFH head/inlet etc, but can you run the hybrif soley on an AFH loom/ECU etc, what about cranksensors etc ?

got to remove mine for my cage, but want to try and keep the dash as intact as possible as mine will have a heater going back in etc

great build out of intrest, apart from the 2 side fixings, where is the standard lupo dash bolted in ? cheers jr

out of intrest how does it differ ? thought the only diffrences were a possible shorter shock by around 10mm and diffrent bump and reboud rates ?

Height and rebound adjustble, zinc plated, built and designed in the UK, rebuildable im building a track car, and i really dont want to put on something made of old shopping trolleys that only exsists to make the sump hit the floor or on the other end buy a KW V3 kit (only thing i can see similar on the market) at £1100 on what ever they are, ive got 3 cars running on this make of coilover allready and been nothing but impressed by them all i am trying to do is get some prototypes made up which i need a standard front a rear shock and a rear spring, something which i dont have currently and thought someone may have laying around it imagine price wise at a guess you'd be looking around £550 for a full kit but need to prototype it first

have you run this yet as looking at doing the same conversion and be very intriged about the wiring beeing plug in and play

very intresting and potentially make the whole conversion much easier

only other thing i can think off is the issue of the DBW throttle pedal and Throttle Bodie

Looking at getting a coilover kit made up by a well known and regarded manufacturer, but first of all i need a standard shock both front and rear and a standard rear spring to give them measurements to then trial fit to a car anyone able to help as i binned my stuff years ago, can obv pay for postage and arrange a courier to collect but tbh dont want to be paying anything for what may indeed be scrap cheers jr

Just been reading through, impressive project, out of intrest for the afh converion did you have to use the orginal keys/coil reader etc ?

After a bit of re-evaluation i really cba to go down the stand alone management route for what is supposed to be cheap 2nd project whilst my OCD build on my other car is still going on Got a 75bhp AHW engined lupo which all i want is over 100bhp in it (stripped, 256mm brakes, AST topmounts, blah blah) which IMO will be enough to make it fun, now to keep the standard management i have 2 option from what i can see 100bhp sport engine - Same Mounts, use my newly rebuilt 75bhp gearbox, DBW as apose to cable so need a sport pedal box ? ECU, dash cluster, key and engine loom needed ? AVY polo GTI engine - Same Mounts, use my newly rebuilt 75bhp gearbox, DBW as apose to cable so need a sport pedal box ? ECU, dash cluster, key and engine loom needed + interior loom from polo too ? just wondering if anyone has done a sport conversion as seems to be an easier solution tbh for what i want if i DONT have to get an interior loom too

Wound you suggust using a whole interior loom if you were going 75bhp - 100bhp ? was thinking of using an AFH conversion but TBH ive got enough worries and expense with standalone management on my other project and would just like this one to work suggestions ?

what about where the wing meets the sill mitchel ? cut through the sealent, if indeed thats what it is

Need to remove my front wings of a 1.4 s, can see the fittings along the top of the wing under the bonnet, and the lower bolt that is on the sill edge, but gessing the join between the wing and the sill is tigersealed etc on ? just wondering if anyone can confirm this and if they have done the job themselves ? cheers
