    Pressed plates

passing an mot with them on means nothing, i've had several different cars with different mot inspectors all pass cars with german plates on. first time i got pulled over in this was by a police car who only wanted to tell me my number plate was falling off! it was rivetted on, which i prooved to him and he was more than happy second was by a pcso who told me for 10 minutes about how dangerous it is running it with no bumpers and illegal plates, i spent five minutes playing dumb, after which he got bored comparing it to other plates in the car park it really does depend on who pulls you over and how good a day they've had, as well as how nice you are to them
  2. they're good fun! but then the rear wheel drive gives a little helping hand with that cut the springs!
  3. Yeah, I couldn't do with a colour that didn't stand out! I've got a few more idea's planned for him but my money is better spent on actual projects other than my only daily driver
  4. cheers dude. the barn was an awesome find by our dad its what little brothers are for i did, just forgot to take a picture after

    black lupo

two guys driving a black lupo, lowered on some black wheels with silver lips, yesterday between 6-7ish
  6. A couple of updates on Old Cedar Just need to find some 15mm spacers, give him a clean and repaint the scala's, one is off at the moment so I can decide on how to paint them.
  7. After going up to GTI Spring Festival, I got a lot of idea's and the urge to be driving my Jetta, but standing in between of me and the Jetta is my bug. It's been sitting still for way too long so I've decided to get it ready to drive this year, with money and time permitting, I'm intending on getting the bug back together by either June or July. So onto today, found out that the polishing cloth's are dirty so giving them a wash then I'll be on that this week (fingers crossed the pads don't get ruined). Other than that I need to get all the front beam together as well as giving the underneath a clean and paint along with the fuel tank. I started off with a look at my brother stealthie's Lupo Here's what I got done today Pulled the two wheels out that I have so I could check what width I had for the front Then sanded and primed the fuel tank and front beam Then I ran out of stealthie's resource's , so i tidied up for the day so I could get some more rattle cans ready for Thurs when I'm getting down early, I'm hoping to get quite a bit done
  8. just seen a couple of pics on facebook so now i know you have an e30, but trust me wheels and lowering will not satisfy your desires! more will come... you got the modding bug so now its going to be near impossible to stop! looks pretty tidy in the couple of pics ive seen
  9. sad to see him go let me get this right, your getting an e30 to stop you from spending money? because to me that doesn't make any sense
  10. im going now, gave the lupo a clean today
  11. whoop whoop! finally getting back on with the loop
  12. just been reading this... fecking hilarious!
  13. well i was going to be sanding back the paint in preparation for the first coat of polish but the sand paper didn't arrive until late on monday so instead of wasting my day off i got some work done on my jetta (my jettas thread)
  14. would've been a good time to collect some, ive always loved jetta's! i got some more rust work sorted on monday but my internets being rubbish and taking forever to upload the photos, ill put them up as soon as its working well again.
  15. you already know the new plans
  16. thank you for all your comments! it is a lovely garage with lots of volkswagens the car in the first pic has a wooden board leaning against it, and then theres a dust cover over a car cover lots of motivation is needed, which i currently have in abundance as ive finally got off my arse and been playing with this and my jetta. its been off the road since february 2002, so it most definately has been in this state for far too long! updates should be coming on a regular basis. maybe we should stick to fewer projects and then they'll get done quicker
  17. got some rust sorted out today, sanded, primed and sprayed, just to stop it all from rusting anymore hello new plans have also been decided upon
  18. please can we have the update mr jowey
  19. Hey everyone, I havn't posted anything on here in a while so thought I'd post some pictures of one of my current projects. This here is my first car which I've owned since 2001, its a 1967 1200cc Beetle. I learnt to drive in this him and then three months after passing my test he got written off, since then I've either lacked motivation, money or time to get him back on the road again. But now I have more of all of these I'm hoping to be driving him early next year. He was standard when I got him, originally he was several different shades of red and now he's brown and cream two tone, both original colours from the time period. He's getting slammed, having a narrowed front end, 1641cc engine and having only the best parts I can afford! and considering a few years ago I bought all the parts while working for Cool Air, I have some pretty decent parts! Anyways thats enough talking for now so here are some pictures of how he currently stands, currently I plan on working on him every other week and I'll try to update this thread every time I've been to work on him. Enjoy... This one shows the colour at its best The next job is getting the paint all shiney and polished.
