  1. Well, I wish you luck, but I can't recall ever seeing a Lupo GTi sell for anywhere near £8k. Mine cost me just under £6k and after fitting new tyres all round and having some minor scratches repaired I guess I spent a total of about £6,500.00. I admit that mine isn't pristine showroom condition and probably wouldn't win any 'Best of Class' or 'Best of Show' awards, but it looks good, hasn't been molested and I drive it daily and I enjoy it. That's what I bought it for. I agree that late registered, incredibly low mileage and low number of owner GTI's are pretty scarce, but at the end of the day they're still 'old' cars and potential buyer should be prepared to accept that they will have to live with buying a car that is almost certainly going to show some sort of age related marks/problems. I've walked around my local Sainsburys car park and it's difficult enough to find an 03 plate car, let alone one that's in mint condition. I'm confident that my GTi is well priced, if it doesn't sell, I won't be too bothered.
  2. No, it wasn't mine. I take into account all of the views on this thread but I have to disagree with the comments about the brakes. Unless you're doing a ludicrous rate of knots and suddenly want to stop dead, then I've always found the brakes on mine to be perfectly adequate. I think the other thing that we should all bear in mind is that the youngest Lupo you are likely to find will be about 11 - 12 years old, add to that the fact that only about 1,000 were sold in the UK, many of which will have been modified, crashed or scrapped then the quest for a Lupo in original condition with a low mileage becomes somewhat difficult. As for an import, the only ones that I have ever seen do not seem to come with leather interior.
  3. 4 Sport Rader 13" Alloy Wheels, 4x100 PCD, just come off of my Golf Mk3. Should fit other VW's but please check. All in excellent condition, no kerbing. All with legal 175/70/13 tyres, 3 Arrowspeed and 1 Avon. Collect from Chippenham/Calne, Wiltshire. Offers please.

But please, no offers, no joyriders, no time wasters.
  5. That would be great, a friend of mine has a Powerflow exhaust that is supposed to fit a 1.6 sport or a 1.6 GTi. No way is it going to fit a GTi, so just wondering if it vill fit a 1.6 Sport. If you get the chance you can email pics to:- tonywebb60@gmail.com Thanks
  6. Does anyone have any pics of the underside of a Lupo 1.6 sport fitted with a Powerflow back box/twin pipe centre exhaust?
  7. Anyone got any idea as to how much it will cost me to replace the camshaft belt, water pump, etc., on my Lupo GTi? Anyone know of any reliable reasonably priced VW specialists in the Chippenham/Swindon area? Thanks
