Hi , has anyone got koni-coilovers on their GTI,how good are they ,ride quality etc and i have been told you can drop the car only front 65mm and rear 45mm.I am hopping to drop the front 55mm and rear 65/70mm.Any help most grateful.

AS before, top right engine bay (rain water gully) 3 screws ,i think its pollen/air con filter together.The bad smell is probably comming from bacteria, will need air con service. Good luck.

Looking at coilovers{currently using EIBACH pro-kit},spoke to someone at Venom and suggested if want the softest ride i should buy FK Konigsport as he used them previously with great results.Open to any other suggestions budget around£500.00. Many thanks.

Put hot water on the badge to soften it, then gently pull off. Good luck.

Thanks, i have just seen your car grey GTI on readers ride looks great.Any problems fitting them, is it DIY JOB, as i am not to mechanically minded.I have been quated prox £400.00 + 220.00 labour which includes tracking ect for weitec coilovers.Thanks.

Just wondering how good weitec coilovers are and they easy to fit.I want to drop the car by prox 45mmF/ 65mm R,are there going to be any mechanical problems,if so what should i look out for? Any help most gratefull.Currently running EIBACH pro kit.

Hi, ordered Blue H3 bulbs for GTI,on arrival i noticed the bulbs where 12v/100w instead of standard 12v/55w.Can they still be used or is there going to be a problem?Many thanks.

Hi, i think you should you should get car checked properly by a good mechanic,it seems previous owner has not looked after the car.As for springs i suggest using Eibach pro kit,iv'e got them on mine they are superb for daily ride.Good luck.

Great choice,i had the R version 225bhp{petrol} in the same colour devastating motor wolf in sheeps clothing.I am sure you know it shares the same platform as the audi tt,golf1.8t.Good luck and enjoy it.Ps i would avoid coilovers maybe eibachs at a push.

Cars i get from ebay etc Solido 1:18 scale.The wheels/body kit which includes 4 arches and front section from Germany{mb-tuningcars.de},ps the front/rear splitter and both side door sills had to make using plastic strips.Regarding Lupo gti a company called Sparks will be making or have already made it, only 1:43 scale in RED/Silver.Yes there are two gti's mine plus my mates.Sorry don't know who the racing drivers are had them in the loft for years.Many thanks.

As previously mentioned the green Gti now has BBS Wheels. This is the latest project : Raven Blue, blown arches, just completed. Enjoy. Waiting for a Lupo Gti model to become available.

GTi use different front indicator bulb{Diatem},which gives that blue like colour.

HI company called SPARK were going to make Lupo gti {silver/red} one last year, so should be out soon.Model try E -bay or diecast model shops, make sure you get one made by SOLIDO-1:18 scale, i got mine from amazon for £20.00 delivered,have a look E- bay Germany under 1:18 golf GTI ,some great models.Good luck.

Thanks again for all your answers just to say if the car was under warranty, i would make this problem was sorted out and if not, would demand a full refund.IF there is factory fault all VW cars should be called back.I have had a few GTI's mk2, two mk4's they all seem to have problems from factory {heater matrix.windows,coil pack, pedal box,exhausts ect,ect.............. ps i love my lupo gti,small fast and rare something special, i don't want to change and waste more hard earned cash.Many thanks.
