  1. oh, your insurance style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> I always miss that, hehe style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> In germany the car stays what it was; so if you do a 1.8T swap on a 1.0 you pay for a tuned 1.0, which is waaay less than a 1.8 style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />
  2. Hi chris! There are differences between the 75hp and thq 100hp version, and according to the lupoclub.de crowd, a conversion is not worth the money. A proper turbo kit would give you 120hp at least; and with 120hp reliability shouldn't be a problem. Or you can go the "classic" way: head reworked and camshafts. Downside (in my opinion): engine is less useable in everyday traffic. Then here's even the possibility to install 4 single throttle bodies but that's definitely not the best solution! Why didn't you wait for the 1.4 tdi with 90 hp and chiptune that? style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />
  3. it's exactly that... GTI 25 mm and all the rest 20mm; Polos and Lupos.
  4. B&B is....crap. Sorry to say that; but they seem to know little to none when it's about Lupo's. The 1.8 is amazing and goes like stink, but they changed everything, right? There are serious problems adapting a Lupo with `e-Gas` to turbo...believe me, there's a guy on lupoclub.de that waited 10 months to get the work finished...they finally used the 1.8T ECU to get everything going. I would recomend `Rothe-Motorsport` (for Turbo) or Sorg (for classical tuning, also with the Weber stuff) on mainland europe. Ciao!

    Rear Spoiler

Hello, No, I never saw one in life; and I must admit, I still like the original GTI spoiler best.
  6. Hi, I'm fine thanks, and you? I'm just studying for exams...(zee crazy Germans have them over August and September, so no holiday til october...) I seem to remember something, good thing you pointed that out; a 14" VW/SEAT rim (where the offset is about `40-45` mm) should fit. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> I wonder how you'd fix the spare wheel in the car? there's not much room in the GTI in the boot? Maybe the "stupid" spare wheel, which is smaller, would be easier to put somewhere? But then again, that's a 13"...
  7. Hi, it's a financial overkill...I wanted to do the same since i got mine. The bumper can be modified to fit, sometimes a modded one pops up on ebay.de. If I manage to put much money together, I'll try it out...the biggest problem should be the rear arches, while the front only needs changing (although that involves about `50-60` parts...)
  8. KW variant 3 is the overkill.... I have the Koni kit, ant I must say I'm happy with them. They're hart as hell, that's true, but damn, my Loop holds the road like nothing else style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" /> And they should be fine with the GTI, as the TDI I have is abour 200 kgs heavier...
  9. Click me! Took some pictures til my cam lasted... 2 nice Lupo's there!
  10. Never had problems with ECU or such. *crossing fingers* style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> the brakes: the TDi has bigger discs in comparison to the SDi, I think that's why you noticed the difference.
  11. excuse me, but dipped beam = the first position of the light knob? If so, you could do it yourself; there's a metal hatch you need to push upwards and then you can get the back of th e light housing off and repace the bulb. If dipped beam = low beam DON'T TOUCH!!!!!!!! as it is a Xenon eadlamp, and that means there's voltages up to 28000 volts going round there... ah, a Xenon bulb will cost you about 160€.
  12. glad to see I'm not the only one style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" /> Okay, just checked the page, thanks!
  13. You're welcome! style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> Glad you made it. What is that `eco-tec` thingy? Never heard of it before...my first thought was of...Opel :sigh:
  14. Hi, can you scan that thing and send it over? I'll do my best then. (italian = 1st language I learned)
  15. Following some news posted on the german board, there might be some black ones coming out later this year; I really hope so! Will keep you informed, or just ask me if I should forget style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />
  16. QUOTE(Slyclone)Ummmmm!I might have to enqure about the GTi alloy bonnet What about the tailgate? Is that alloy on the GTi? style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> Nope, pure steel for better wheight distribution (like they moved the battery to the rear). Which means that the GTi spoiler fits on normal Lupos style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
  17. Hi, the Xenons have plastic lenses. If you break a mounting bracket for the lights, you can order a repair kit; but if you break the housing, well, then it's expensive! A bulb should be less than 150 £, as it is 150€ here. Who did a carbon bonnet???? Me wants to know! style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> Every aluminium part of the GTi or 3L fit a normal Lupo, except the front fenders, they need a bit of work.
  18. Should be right... style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> Amazing little car, though! The GTi is based on the 3L, `body-wise`. So, as I post once in a while here I say hello to the ones who don't know me style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> Linsey: as you can see, I've got a TDi too style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> Geat engine I must say! Have 52000 kms right now, and no problems at all! For the tuning I would get a `superchips-style` tuning; please stay away from these `tuning-boxes` style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> A proper chip, adjusted on a dyno/rolling road will fit perfectly to your engine. I hope I will do it sometimes...because you get loads of torque too so you get really pushed in your seat style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
  19. interesting...could be; but as I drive about 22000 kilometers a year, I have no chance of seeing that style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />
  20. hm, if I'm not wrong it comes up when you have xxx kms to go til your next service; but 5700 is def too early. Maybe it's been put to zero sometimes too early? But I would do as your dealer told you.
  21. I think there's no problem with the passenger Airbag in that case. If I recall correctly, Raid HP has an adapter for this purpose.
  22. Bingo! style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> Bit still I'd prefer a mechanical kind of differential lock, like an LSD or a Torsen; but unfortunately no one makes such things for the diesel Loop.... Quaife has some boxes and/or diffs for the 1.9 TDI though...so all I have to do is a conversion   Oh, btw, just passed my chemistry exam style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />, so I'm all excited, hehe! Getting a new HU this friday (it's a secret!)
  23. Hi style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> no, my Loop is still all original; and as kilometers add, I believe I won't chip mine...mine has 45000kms right now in 2 years; but if I chip it, it will be posted! I presume `0-60` can be a lot better, like `1-1`.5 seconds better, which isn't that bad at all! And `in-gear` acceleration would be faster too, because torque will be increased by a lot style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" /> LSD: Yep, that's a drug style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> No, in fact I meant a limited slip differential, that makes the wheel on the inward of a turn not to slip (oh, dear... what an explanation...); and so you get less understeer. I'm sure you noticed that when cornering.
  24. So here are the specs of my battery: 330 A; 61 Ah Size: Lenght is about 25cm, width about 18cm and height about 21cm Hope this helps
