Hi all Not really fussed on mileage, but I've looked at a handful of both SDi and TDi over the last month or so Every one I've looked at or phoned about seems to have been neglected, the owners know nothing abuot changing the cambelts or service history! I know they are quite old cars now and I'm not expecting every receipt from new, but some kind of history would be nice Is it possible to still find a nice SDi/TDi? I'm not fussy, either will do (I'd probably prefer the SDi due to better relability but either are generally reliable from my research) the only requirement I have is it has SOME kind of service history/proof of recent work, it isn't yellow or green, that's it! Am I asking too much? I've also looked at Arosa's but I don't like the front bumper on them, think the Lupo is the better looker! If anyone can point me in the direction of a nice SDi or TDi upto £2000 absolute max, preferably more like £1500ish that would be great!

Any pics of the car from the rear? the coil light meaning the glow plug light?

What bhp/mpg / sound differences does decatting an SDI make?

Looks great, interested in the vege oil side of things ! Is it literally a case of shove vege oil in from the bottle, change the fuel filter and off you go?

Has this sold? If not when was the cambelt last done and what kind of history does it come with?

Sorry just done some reseRch and established its a 1.2TDi. What's the difference between the 1.2TDi and the 1.4TDi / the -1.7 SDi? Whh wasn't the 1.2TDi sold in the UK from new?

Excuse my ignorance, just done some research Appears it's a 1.2 TDi. Why wasn't this sold in England from new? What are the diffefenxe between the 1.2TDi and 1.4TDI/ 1.7SDI, obviously apart from engine size ?

What exactly is the 3L, why would you import it? There's olebty of 1.4TDIs and 1.7 SDIs for sale ? Thanks

Interested in how it's free road tax, isn't the cheapest Lupo £30 annual VED, with the sdi or tdi?

Looked at one earlier, advertised as full history but the car hasn't been serviced since 2009 and 55k miles. The owner said it is fully stamped so it's full history. It was also wearing "ling long" tyres I think all round. Was only a few miles Away so no great loss Problem is they're so hard to find !

160bhp from the Ibiza cupra PD engine would be amazing... I'd think you'd need an LSD to keep the front wheels in check! Thanks for all the posts. Shame they're so rare as there's hardly any for sale at any time. As long as most of the mechanicals are sound, little things like electric windows etc I can fix myself in my own time if they decide to play up! What are the common things to look out for when viewing one then? I imagine they have a single mass flywheel rather than DMF? Are these prone to breaking? What about clutch slipping problems?
