Peavey - new(ish) from what i gather. My lupo is due for a service i must say. I'd better dig deep and fork out for it. But i will certainly check out your threads for DIY service options. I am also a little tempted to get a day van, but it'd also have to double as the every day driver. But i also don't think i can bare to part with my lupo yet.

Oh well i've got a peavey amp and an sdi lupo so i should be fine yes? I will investigate de-dating the motor. Yes, i see what you mean with the shell, i have some rust under the wheel arches and the sills under the car. I wouldn't say i'm a crazy driver, i change at 2.5 and no more than 3rpm for sure! But perhaps taking a more laid back approach would aid my case too. But yes, the engine is completely sound as far as i know, it has just been all the other bits!!!

Hang on, have i worked it out wrong? Essentially i get 350 miles (give or take) to a full lupo tank. Is that not good either? It's a 1.7sdi, quite old now too but going strong. Skezza - when you say 'you'... can i ask someone to do it or is it a bit.... y'know?!

Hello all, Here is my baby. Been reliable with me for the best part of 4 years now. Nothing has ever gone wrong with the engine. But earlier this year, it was discovered that their were several holes in various parts of the exhaust, including some that nestled close to the catalytic converter. Someone has welded as best they can but apparently it could go at any time. (We are talking in 4 days, or 4 years here!!) I have been quoted £300 for the new part and labour. Is there anything else i can do for my Larry Lupo. MPG is quality - even though it is blowing a little and is an older model (V reg '99) av. 55mpg. I have also been toying with the idea of parting with my beloved in place of a T4 day van.... but toying with the sea for a year now. Recommendations to sell 'as is' or fix first, sell later? Thanks all.

Hey all. Considering swapping up my Sdi for a Tdi. How big of a difference is the MPG? Is it a down-side having a 3 cylinder engine? What the general consensus on them? Thanks in advance!

Does anyone have VW mud flaps for a lupo for sale? Or point me in the direction of a parts person who can hook me up? Looked on eBay but none seem to be genuine!! :-( Thanks all!

Look up porshe tele dials - i'm saving to get some for mine. Only thing is you need a conversion kit because they are 5 stud. But they're nice!! :-)

Thanks lupo-joe. Right here goes. This is my 1.7 SDi. This is as it stands at the moment. Has had some paint work done to it and been lowered a little. But now looking to obtain some multi-spoke wheels for a bit of a different look!
