  1. All sorted. There were 3 plastic covers covering the nuts to remove the plastic cover. Just popped them off with a screw driver. The nuts underneath were 10mm. Unclipped the distributor cap and used a small file to clean the contacts and the one on the rotor arm. Sprayed some WD40 all over and wiped clean. Put everything back together and turn it over. Fired up after a couple of goes, after being stood for about a month. Worked a treat. I've ordered a new distributor and rotor arm off amazon for 20 quid if/when it plays up again.
  2. Can anyone show me where the distributor cap is on a 1ltr Lupo? It's a bugger to start in the wet and I'm guessing it's the distributor cap, so I'm gonna have a look. If it's under the plastic cover, how the hell do you get those things off? Ta, Fred
  3. Hi Danni, Your Lupo looks very nice. Really like the wheels you've bought. I'm a newby here too. Marcel.
  4. Looks great that mate. Those wheels are pretty good too.
  5. Here's a pic.... I've got it booked in for a cambelt change and service next week. Until then, I'll have to wait before I can drive it any more :-( At least I've been able to wash and wax it on Sunday when the sun actually came out. I'll try and keep posting more pics when I get round to it. I haven't been this excited about a car since my first hatchback, a 1980 Ford Fiesta Supersport in Black, quite a few years ago.
  6. Hi Everyone, Just bought my first Lupo yesterday from Leeds. I can't stop myself going outside to look at it all the time!! I was going to wash and wax it this weekend but the weather is crap, as usual. It's a 2005 1.0 litre basic model but perfect for me. I'm gonna trick the little fella right out, as and when I've got the cash. It only has 9.5k miles on it and Full Service History. The thing is, it hasn't had a Cambelt change in 8 years so I daren't use it until it's been done. I had a major panic driving it back home to Middlesbrough, just in case it snapped. I'll have to wait a whole week now (that's the earliest I could get it booked in for) until it's safe to drive. You might have noticed I've got an old T25 Camper too. I love V-Dubs!! Any Lupo dudes and dudettes in Teesside? Marcel. PS. I'll post some pics later...
