Had a third engineer on a boat once who put the bottom end bearing shells on the wrong way round on a large 2 stroke, meaning no oil getting to that piston, result one seized engine the size of several double decker buses and one very embarrassed third engineer. He was one of the most knowledgable persons I'd ever worked with but it just shows that anyone, when stressed can make mistakes!!! He luckily kept his job!!

Ahmen to that!! You haven't had a hard time with an engine until you've had problems with one you can actually stand inside the cylinder. Removing and replacing pistons the size of a car is the least fun I have ever had!!! If MAN B&W start making engines for cars Im going to start walking places!!

Im not sure what the implications are but if you register on the Omega site for a sales brochure they send you through a very nice hardback book about their watches. Gotta be the moon edition or th eschumacher deition of the speedmaster though they are dearer!! They do give you a 2 year warranty and are reputable though!
