    Remap Offer

it would from about 6-12bhp gain. they dont know as thats why they are asking for one to try out. btw jabbasport you would want your full retail price to be close to £200 otherwise it would be quite a bit more expensive than the £200 powerchip which i have recently fitted.
  2. i dont know about the polo, but amused at the idiotic statement lol.
  3. it would be a hell of a job, and the non air con gti might not even have the chasis/engine bay welded mount brackets and threaded screw holes for the parts to attach to. i have noticed before from stripping cars that at the factory they dont bother putting these things in if it is designated as not needing them as it cuts down on a lot of labour.
  4. if you have had normal interval servicing then you shouldnt need a flush. new oil and filter is fine for the engine.
  5. i used to, but its so restrictive, once the radio is on you cant change chanel or volume, cant adjust ventilation controls, cant turn shoulders to see behind or left or right at tricky junctions lol. also you can never get in and out in a hurry with harness as they need to be loosened and tightened for every exit/entry they dont just clip together. i will give it a go though for sure. i need a bit of relaxation in the car, thats why this time i chose a recliner instead of a minimal fixed back competition seat. but yes it should give a nice much more supportive seating position. and it looks damn fine aswell.
  6. rubbish. and monaco was the most boring grand prix i have seen in a few years.
  7. hey dont flame schumi he is missed.
  8. i think its a great shame to not see hamilto racing wheel to wheel with schumi.
  9. i have just ordered this beauty. should be perfect for my black GTI. border="0" class="linked-image" /> border="0" class="linked-image" /> i already have a black 4 point harness to fit for a track day aswell . cant wait.
  10. have you tried a selection of upmarket/specialist independent garages, like ones that sell rare, exclusive, sports cars. they may pay you a good price to take the car off you. negotiate aswell with them.
  11. your pointing out what you expect and what a casual market of car buyers want, not what is actually best in a car. a veyron of course would be better without air con. it depends where your heart is. just like to me a single seat veyron would be better than a twin seat veyron.
  12. saves weight. is totaly not needed. any car is better without it.
  13. i see what your saying as common ordinary demand can dictate a market, but the gti shouldnt allowed to be seen as a normal car market. you dont turn down a £100k classic ferrari as it doesnt have air con, so lack of aircon is not relevent to someone who really wants a gti, you can buy a cheap crap french car with aircon and save the bother of searching. as i have said before no aircon was a big feature for me buying gti, as i was preparing to spend a few hundred to take my next new car to a garage to get the aircon all dismantled and removed. was lucky to find my lupo.
  14. amazing race. and only 1 week till the next one. my favourite bit, sato overtaking alonso!
  15. honorable and socializing, Firefox flags those. corrected by it.
  16. that is true, when gti are in a showroom they dissapear within a few days i think.
  17. my last car has sports upgrade rubber mounts, and they make the whole car vibrate and your hands shake when on the steering wheel. great upgrade though, poly mounts would be even harsher. but again we are talking different issues, this gti thing is an engine characterisitc, mount or no mount it would cut out in the same way.
  18. yes different things then. the gti thing is probably gti specific as it seems you dont have it on your 1.4 lupo. thats why we quite often get the issue raised here for new gti owners (including me) who thought something might be wrong with the engine.
  19. when you get it in the lupo do you get the judder just on normal acceleration until it goes away. with the gti it like cuts off the power on acceleration as if it wants to stall, and clutch needs depressing to compensate. we maybe talking different things possibly.
  20. strange. i wonder if we are thinking of the same kind of jerking. i have never experienced the kangaroo hopping the gti does 1st thing before. do you mean the other cars you have driven judder like that?
  21. older fords can be a bit rough, i was thinking of removing them from my list. but all the others are fine. and also another car i drive at the moment a seat ibiza 2002 model, 1.4 same engine as lupo. is always 100% smooth. what list of modern cars have you driven?
  22. none of mine ever have, apart from the lupo gti i have now. cars i have driven and know that dont jerk ford mk1/2/3/4 fiesta, ka, (unless something is not working) nissan micra, almera, primera toyota celica, yaris honda jazz, civic type R mitsubishi colt czt suzuki swift a few others aswell, even a kia piccanto. they dont jerk. it suprised me when found that the lupo gti jerked, but its not a problem and dissapears after 30 seconds or so.
  23. its possible to get them cheaper from here last time i enquired for a single pair. autops
