my little looopy has tryed to kill me 4 times now. last one being a tree at 1am (1.0mpi isnt the engine to get you out of a ditch) as soon is i can afford it i am power flex'ing the lower arms and axle bushes and a set of sports dampers (40mm front 55mm rear lowered already if that don't fix it il strap a role bar on at the back and if its still trying to kill me im getting my golf sooner than planed :'(

spun my loop 4 times now 1st time was first time id done a roundabout in my car had seen my boss do one at 60mph didn't work at 50mph for me later found out my boss used to race v8 touring cars :/ 2nd touched puddle on left corner (no dammage) 3rd touched puddle on left corner (no dammage) next night hit a badger at 60mph on a strait road on dip beam (bent rad smashed rad fan n slam panel and cracked lower bumper) 4th touched ice on left corner sent me in to a ****ing tree :/ (crushed crash panel split front number plate broke headlight's and indicator panel) i don't like left corner's any more :'( or badgers total cost of repairs 20-25 cable ties managed to fix all of them without spending a penny

update took me 10hours to fit my engine some modifying stuff too

green slammed yellow headlights (works near lincoln audi damons) i see you every so often if im late for work but my mate who works at simons said hes seen you and sounded good too im in a yellow lupo with black wheels and lowered 40-50mm

i was going to do this when my engine died but came across a 1.0 arosa lump for half the price of a 1.4 16v its best part of 7 hours to change a 1.0 for a 1.0 engine (im doing mine today) then stuff like pas pump to deal with probably could do it without too much hassle because you would have a doner car to take rad and stuff from

have an engine hoist, transmission jack and oil draner to ease removal

Hi my lupo is a 2000 1.0 E MPI (ALD engine code) had my lupo on the road for just under a month now took rocker cover off to see how hard it was to replace tappets (could hear it was very tapity)but found that the cam, cylinder head and rocker cover are heavily worn. So due to the fact it has oil pump problems and is down On compression I'm getting a replacement engine. How hard is it to swap the engines and what is the best way to go about it I do have access to a two post ramp and tools to do job most likely going to an AUC 1.0 MPI engine will this still run on my ECU ?

iv got alpine type E's there fine for the price, adapters are a bit poo on my car tho had to cut part of lip off i need a better head unit tho so they don't get the bass have fun changing um tho, my drivers side took an hour to get out other one 5 min :/

with my 1.0 (ALD) lupo when i come out of a roundabout the oil light flickers on i have had the sump and strainer off (found an electrical clip stuck in strainer ) oil is checked regular is always on mark. so where is the oil pressure switch on these little engines i got an oil pressure switch but cant find where it is

i want to put some G60 wheels on my lupo but want to know how far i can go with banding them before it becomes a problem i know i will wish i had pas when i get wider wheels they are standard 6j how wide can i get them before i start catching things ? my car is lowered about 40mm atm

hi i want to know if any one has fitted a smooth boot that opens with a solenoid and a button as my boot has had the handle removed if any one can help me on how to fit and how well they work thanks Sam
