  2. Got some mintex parts lined up now (: can't afford or have time to do a conversion I'm afraid. Would anyone say it's worth replacing the drums?
  3. ok cheers, what are the best shoes to replace them with? I've seen lots of cheap brands around, are mintex any good? any opinions on bosch?
  4. Anyone? I really need to get this sorted this weekend
  5. Hi everyone, Not been on in a while, I've been contemplating selling my car or not for a while but I've decided to keep my lupo (: I have however got an issue with the brakes, when i first drive the car on cold/wet mornings (not so much when its warm) the first few times i apply the brakes a horrible loud scraping noise comes from the rear passenger side but once I've used them a few times it goes away and I won't hear it again in that journey. I googled this and read it can be glazing in the drum so i left it. I have recently however noticed my lupo is struggling more up hills, to pull off and when I have a full car. Could this be my brakes binding? theres no engine light and the engine sounds fine, has anyone ever experienced this? finally is there such thing as sports brake shoes? I ask because I do wanna up-rate the brakes on it eventually front and back, so I thought if they need changing then I'd put some better shoes in there. Would I also have to replace the drum? cars done 57k btw. Thanks in advance for any help.
  6. Cheers (: glad it helped you and you never know one day
  7. Haha no problem, they save a bit of money and they're reusable. Just for reference I actually am, good guess (Y)
  8. On my lupo i cut an old credit card (could always go and get a blank nectar card from sainsburys if you haven't got one lying around) into really thin strips so they fit the slots, pushed them down and my tape deck popped right out.
  9. I've got a Sony xplod blue tooth single din head unit. Comes with an aux port but my iphone connects via Bluetooth and plays music thus no wires (: I just turn it on press play on my phone and enjoy. Works with the tomtom app and calls as well. Well worth the money and well in your price range!
  10. On mine if I fill it to the brim and then drive it down to when the fuel light comes on I get about 230-240 miles so it's about right.
  11. Be interesting to see how this develops (: good work so far
  12. Little update, Got my waterproof but sound transparent foam for my speakers today. Was a bit fiddly to fit but got it on in the end (: no worry about my speakers corroding now Also got the trim for my head unit All in all got a amazing head unit for £37 BARGAIN!!!! I also managed to get some pictures of my car yesterday too, was gonna wash it but the weather had other plans Also managed to get a stubby ariel for my car too, makes it look a bit prettier Stil want to de badge it etc but I'm gonna wait til I've had her a while just incase.
