Hi, Thought id add a thread to show the progress so far and plans for the future. This is a 1.7 sdi and i have had it for ages as a daily. The colour was where we started and once my wife decided she preferred the golf gtd i started to use it. I have a T5 camper and didn't want to daily it anymore so out came the tools. I fitted coilovers, the gti front hubs/calipers and renewed and refurbed the brakes. Its had a few cosmetic bits on the outside and a GTi bonnet which i stripped to bare ali one day this summer and kinda like it now. aside from this the rest has been maintenance clutch bearings etc but reckon for a little cars with 60 hp its pretty good fun. The future of the car is less certain as i am about to start cranking up the stakes. With a mate we reckon we can double the power. Turbo, injectors, loom and few other bits and lets see.

Did this get done? i am about to start this on our lupo 1.7 sdi and looking at doubling power. Know the box is the weak link but worst case it will get a stronger one 😁

Hi, been into vag for nearly twenty years and owned golfs, polos, audis, and transporters. Currently on the drive is a T5 in the process of being converted to a camper. In the garage I have a caddy mk1 pickup with a 1900 kr 16v mill waiting for me to get it back on the road. I took it off the road last year to do some mods and that's where it's been since. Recently sold my wife's T4 multivan so I need another set of wheels. My eldest has just turned 17 so thought a lupo would be ideal for a runaround to save a few quid on running costs so I can afford to insure the daughter too. So, here I am, joined the forum and looking for a car. It looks like we want a fantasia one, been offered a really nice one that is well known with its appropriate private plate but I need my own canvas. So it will be in the frog hew, with power steering and either petrol or diesel but feeling the Sdi with its cheap tax
