  1. nah mate don't listen to these guys, its not rush, they are knackered don't use the car the pads are buggered so if you use it now they will fail and cause you stopping problems only kidding yup its rust man i am bored
  2. there are alot of good stories about revo stuff they seem to know what they are doing and know what they are on about they are becoming a massive tuning name now so i guess you can be sure that they will do a good job for £400 i reckon its a bargain to get so much more power wish i had a diesel
  3. maybe you should consider upgrading from the 239's you have now to the 16v/gti 256mm set up that will give you much more power than changing the pads and discs. if you rather stay with your 239's then zimmerman are meant to be good i am using some omp drilled and grooved discs which are really good whatever you get though stay away from EBC discs, they are really really really crap.
  4. so behave! style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" /> style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />
  5. nice one i will take this as a warning for parking miles away from a arosa if i ever see one in a car park....
  6. man what a waste of a good wheel those wheels will become hard to get hold of one day and they will be worth a few bob
  7. @tanner - you know you like hooking up with me ;-0 haha, life good, where have you been for the past 4yrs then???? you still looking for a polo jack? @dub dub, i live in cheshire but i am at bolton uni doing me final year in my degree and then i will out of the place, too many barry boys for my liking do you live in bolton then?
  8. ah so it was you dubdub i was in traffic with my girlfriend behind me in her polo as i was moving my stuff into halls and i saw you coming in my wing mirror and then when you drove past i looked back at my GF and she was giving the thumbs up as she knows i wanna lupo GTI. we will have to hook up some time you will probably not see me in my mk4 around bolton as its hassle using a car thats so low so i am usually in my mk2 polo runabout. so look out for a white crappy mk2 polo with a dodgy chinese driver!
  9. look in the tech section there are a few posts about this as its a very common problem with lupos and polos
  10. 60k miles..........mmmm not a cambelt change service as thats about 80k jobbie my 60k service was a inspection service so it was £130 all in this might interest you http://porka.net/modules.php?name=XForum&f...tid=9025&page=1
  11. u will need stud adapters as your car is a 4 stud whereas porka's are 5 stud which will decrease the ET to about 35
  12. yeah schrik (sp) do some as well if you do get cams then to get the most use out of them you have to have the head port and polished coz the cams are opening the valves more but the air flow might be crap due to restriction in the head
  13. you can get cams for the 16v engine but they are like £`500-600` as you need 2 of them as its a 16v, G40 engines are 8v.
  14. i use the quantium stuff VW use, its only like £12 from the dealer seeing as they use it for most of their cars i think its good quality crap if you are worried then change it every 5k miles
  15. wow this thread is a wicked read enjoyed reading it from the start its nice to know that someone else has found a good vw dealer who does all it can to make sure the customer is happy make sure you stick with them coz its nice to get friendly with a vw dealer especially the ladies who work there unless they are old fossils let us know how the car goes after you have 'bedded' in the engine i wonder how much all that cost for vw to cover under warranty? also i am soooooooooooooooo impressed with ''the valves in VW 16v engines not only go up and down (like a normal car then lol) but also index around a few degress with every `up-down` cycle so they are always cleaning the valve seat and locating properly in the head. This is done to stop them sticking'' bit of writing as i am doing a automotive degree i find that kinda sad crap interesting never heard of that kinda valve, now i can impress me mates in the pub when i come up with a comment like that
  16. i like the idea of this chip for £180 fitted i might go for it to see what the power increase is they say its fitted in cheshire which is good as i am in cheshire
  17. was speaking to my uni flat mate who is back home in ireland until we start uni and he told me about some chick over there having a black lupo 1litre with porka wheels and standard bumpers and a side exhaust just wondering if anyone knows anything about this lupo owned by this 'chick'

    GTI remap

wow nice to see that you have got it done in the end i like the torque curve the chip has given out made a massive difference but the power is a bit poo but on the road torque is the one you need the most so i guess its all good £411 is a big kick in the wallet i going to consider it........whats so different about this remap to say erm a superchip?
  19. i use the quantium stuff VW use, its only like £12
  20. i did have a deep rumbly omp exhaust which sounded awesome but christ was it annoying on the motorway having something rapsy aint as tiring on the motorway but ppl following me find it annoying as its boody loud haha
  21. nope mk4's didn't come in a GTI in the uk only mk5's did mines a 1.4 16v like the lupo sport but fatter, heavier and handles more like a blind drunken pig on ice
