Lupo Sport

Got my new gearbox fitted and I thought all was fine but it still crunches into gears but the rattles I could hear inside the car have gone. Can anyone who has had the pedal box problem describe to me exactly what it felt like as I am trying to establish if this is now fcuked? Cheers peeps!

Anyone else got a Lupo Sport that has experienced gearbox problems? I was driving last Thursday night and kept on crunching into gears when changing. If I put my foot as hard as I could to the floor it improved slightly. I dropped my car off at the garage on Friday and was advised today that I need a new gearbox. The mechanic advised that this was quite common despite having done 39k miles on a W reg. He said he had fitted new gearboxes to Lupo Sports before and 1 had only done 27k miles. He also said something about pieces of metal coming out when he drained the gearbox fluid (or oil...whatever it is!). Anyone else had this or aware of this? Im so annoyed at this as I've already had my engine rebuilt this year due to a oil leak problem and this is another expense I cant really afford. If I'd known all this up front I would have avoided the Sport model completely. Any thoughts?

The rear light clusters are the Lexus style ones. I'm thinking about selling my car so I haven't got any other mods planned. Shoulds I put a spec in the for sale section?

I'm looking to get an induction kit for my 2000 VW Lupo Sport. Which is better - K&N 57i or Pipercross? All opinions and experiences of these would be helpful. Cheers!

Got these rear lights fitted to my Lupo yesterday and I'm well chuffed with the new look!!! According to my mechanic (I'm hopeless with my hands when it comes to cars!) they aren't the snuggest of fits but I'm gonna put a little sealant tape around the lights to ensure no moisture gets into the boot. Other than that they are cool but came with no bulbs or instructions. Hopefully I can post some pics soon.....

I'm not 100% sure what alloys I'm going for but there is a 20% sale on alloy and tyre packages at Halfords (and Ripspeed). Might be worth a look. I'm leaning towards a set of Fox Racing or Team Dynamics as they are well priced before being reduced.

Hi there. I'm new to the forum but was looking for some help. I've got a W Reg Lupo 16v Sport and I want bigger alloys for it. I'm going to get 16's but I don't know what size of tyres I need. My car isn't lowered but will be soon. Anyone able to recommend the tyre size I need? Cheers
