  1. At the time I couldn't come up wit a solution that would stop the front bumper from ever cracking so I decided not to smooth it. Its a GTI spoiler and I ordered it from tps. And yes it came to silly money by the time the brake lights bought too.
  2. Its not 100% needs the 2 rear quarter panels painted as there is a few heavy scratches. Hopefully get them done some day.
  3. Thanks!! Just trying to keep it clean and simple looking compared to my usual funky colours.
  4. Haven't done anything more to the car. Just have a few photos of it
  5. I think expecting to get 100bhp just from an exhaust seems a little hopeful. Sorry had to say it, il get my coat
  6. Its been a while since i updated. Work has been busy so this has gone off the to do list. However its nearly all back together and is getting a good buff over the next few days.
  7. video or it doesn't work, If i got one for free i would be forced to try it and see how low it drops and see if the rear window would stay in. Then id get rid of it.
  8. Just take your time with them and don't rush! Give me a shout if you need any advice. Got the extreme camber fixed ! Cheers everyone! Cant believe i missed that, but thats what happens when you get constantly interrupted to price jobs etc.
  9. Im self employed. I specialise in light bodywork and alloy wheel refurbs.
  10. Yeah its mega camber on one wheel. Will try slackening those bolts off and re tightening. Cheers for the responses!
  11. Coilovers arrived yesterday! Got them fitted today Only problem is the drivers side front wheel sits inside the arch whereas the passenger side wheel sits outside. Am I missing something??? It did it with the wheels on at standard height too. Pics to follow later
  12. I maybe totally wrong with this, It may have something to do with the speedo pickup on the gear box. It has something to do with when the car is at speed it stops the fuel gauge from moving. Sorry i can't give much more information.
  13. Not much to update. Have had too much work on. Mocked up the front end and started to give luppy a nose job. Coilovers haven't arrived yet Will hopefully get the front painted this week.
  14. Sounds like bad paint, Any pictures of it?
  15. Ok small up date, Rear window went back in last night. Today I got the boot popper wired in working. Also got the rear bumper painted and fitted, and of course what did I do? scratched the top edge of the bumper about 15mm. Putting the tail light in typical. It might flat and polish out as its not that bad or that noticeable but it will be fixed at some point this week as it will annoy me. Also got the front end stripped
  16. Smooth can't be bought off the shelf in a kit, It requires plenty of labour to get right. Boot lid will need welded, bumpers plastic welded etc.
  17. Thats one very clean lupo, love the last photo.
  18. Today I got the boot lid painted so the glass can go back in tomorrow. Further plans are put the wheels on and the coilovers should be arriving this week. Just have to see what looks right as I go bodywork wise, don't want to do too much.
  19. Welded the boot up and then a skim of filler. The bumper got plastic welded and a skim of flexible filler to prevent cracking.
  20. Heres a few pictures of the car once I got it home and off the trailer The car had a flat tyre and a broken spring which made it fun to get off and on the trailer. Set straight to work and serviced it and fitted a new spring. The brakes were all corroded so put new discs and pads all round as its not worth risking the old ones. Started into a wee bit of bodywork on Friday as work was quite,
  21. Hi Guys, newbie from Northern Ireland. Nice forum here! Some very useful information, after hunting for a lupo for a while I have finally found one, Picked up a 2002 1.4 16v with no mot or tax as it was off the road for nearly a year. Got stuck into it with new brakes all round and a service. I have big plans for the Lupo and they are already underway. Aaron
